Parks and city squares

I have proposed some parks and city squares, but they are not accepting them, I don't understand why. Those places are important in the town, they are safe, elapsed and have seats. They say that it is not a valid proposal, but Niantic in its eligibility criteria says that parks and city squares are ideal places to be Wayspots. Is there something I don't know? Why do they reject these places?
(Sorry for my bad English.)

Nominate the playground in the second one.
Are there signs anywhere on these?
Very hard to get accepted without some sort of sign or similar spot to "anchor" the Waypoint.
It's even hard with the sign. Personally, I've stopped nominating them.
Same as https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/discussion/29093/wondering-how-i-can-improve-this-nomination These places just aren't notable.
The children's place is already mentioned.
And there are no signs.
A lot of people come posting these asking why they arent accepted and we see th usual replies as well, im wondering, should we maybe have a @NianticTintino or a @NianticGiffard gove their opinions on them, even if it's it's agree with what others say (needs a sign or something g notable to anchor to) or if they think that maybe they are acceptable, bit can give advice on how to improve it (personally, I think some of these can be considered eligible, the ones that have several benches as they would clearly be for socialising, but fail at the anchor issue)
Thanks to those who have responded. Now I understand the situation a little more. Still, it seems pretty bad to me. Niantic says that they are valid places and the raters do not take advantage of that. They are quiet places, good for playing and socializing. And we players are interested in having more wayspots.
I've seen wayspots that don't make sense and they've been accepted.
These are valid submissions, and it can be frustrating to have them rejected, usually happens with parks that have a limited amount of objects around (it even happened to me a couple of times!) sometimes players assume someone is trying to submit the bench at their home, note not really a valid reason to reject but it happens.
In my opinion I'd resubmit one more time, if it gets rejected once more, wait until appeals are available again for NIA to review them directly.
That's because a "Playground" is usually pretty obviously a playground - no signs are needed for something like this. Different "rules" apply to different types of Waypoint, so a playground does not need a sign.
"People sit there" is not a criteria.
We just can't have every wide spot in the road, every space with nothing but a bench, every bit of grass. The world would be overrun with these waypoints, where each is basically the same as the other. Niantic wants Points of Interest.
Is it a point of interest? Looking at your photos of generic park benches It would be a quick reject for me (unless some valid info in the supporting info would change my mind). I have reviewed and accepted (giving a 5 star) a hand made from tree logs and drift wood park bench. The submitter explained (with newspaper article link in the supporting info) the bench's origin and designer. Plus that bench was very unique and a point of interest in that town.
It would be understood that a single bench that is found anywhere is not accepted. But it is different if the council creates an entire outdoor space. There are no parks and city squares everywhere.
It is not the bench that I am proposing, the bench is generic. What I propose is the city square. I don't know about your country, but here a city square has historically been very important, since they are the most important meeting place, even religiously and still people are not accepting it. Niantic says that these places are valid.
Hi there, thanks for asking the question!
Parks and plazas are public spaces that are great places to exercise and socialize hence they are eligible. In larger areas, it is important to choose the right placement of the Wayspot that respects the activity it was designed to support.
Place it at the entrance or where there is a visible sign or place marker, an image of a signboard representing the location will increase the chances of this nomination getting approved. We also recommend that you review the Wayspot content guidelines before: https://niantic.helpshift.com/hc/en/21-wayfarer/faq/2775-content-guidelines/
Thats still leaving out the "is a sign required" bit, because based on the first half, they should pass, but the second bit still makes it seem like it needs a sign of some kind or something noticible (which would probably then be something eligible on its own), then even in that second bit, it seems that the sign isn't required, ot just helps
So is it
No sign required, it helps, but not necessary
Or
Sign or something else to anchor to is required
It says, "Place it at an entrance OR where there is a visible sign". That seems pretty clear to me a sign is not required as long as you place it along an edge somewhere that could reasonably be considered an entrance.
As reviewers, we should accept without a sign if there's other evidence it's actually a park or plaza (maybe it's labeled on google maps or a municiple website).
As submitters, good luck getting it passed without a sign because most reviewers will never see this clarification.
Thank you all. With this it is clear that they are valid places. I hope the reviewers in my area will accept it one day. A huge hug for all of you. ♥️
Do not based what is accepetable or not on what is already is the game, the criteria has changed/evolved over time. Also wayfarers are humans and things have been accepted when they really shouldn't have been.
Yes parks, plazas & city squares are eligible however remember that this only the first step in the process, you also need to consider the acceptance/rejection criteria and content guidelines.
As noted by NianticGiffard the placement of the location pin and what is shown as the POI photo is key. Pretty much the first acceptance criteria point states that it must be a permanent physical, tangible, and identifiable place or object, or object that placemarks an area.
Generally a lot of people like a sign or structure as they are the easiest thing to use as a placemark for an area/location. However in your case where it is mainly an open area I would look for a clearly identifiable entrance point or gathering spot. What is clearly identifiable will vary from person to person and not everyone will be familiar with the location.
