500 extra inventory spaces, a medal for your profile/scanner and a loadout kit each month. It's $5. I believe there was talk of having some added benefits for reporting spoofers and such, but nothing materialized. I subscribed for 9 months total I think, but between the rampant bad actors, latency/lag issues and lack of communication from Niantic, I decided I'd be fine with 2000 inventory spaces.
I thought the $5 was a good value honestly, but then, the issues that have made the game less fun started becoming more of an issue, so, the only way the company would even notice is if I stopped paying them, so, I did and I know others have as well...
Well that's a little underwhelming. Ingress is a game that requires a BUNCH of item management even more so than PoGo so pay-walling extra storage with a monthly subscription is kind of scummy. I didn't even realize that you can't actually buy extra storage on Ingress wow.
So y'all having all these issues as well? At least Niantic is consistently inconsistent across the game boards...
I also have had a few submissions accepted which have not synced to Ingress since at least 28th Feb. They are all showing in PoGo.
I have just stopped reviewing. If they don't care, I don't either.
First the months of no credit for portals discovered, now this. I'm sure that we are seeing the end of Ingress, and we aren't getting a Lightship map to replace it.
Another 4 syncs times without it happening. If it's taking this long to fix they have made lightship more complicated than it needs to be or dont have any staff who knows how it works.
Either the Cron job or whatever you use to start syncing is not starting or its starting and failing. Whatever process you are starting to send the data and/or database query to update/merge the databases will have an error of some kind or it will be at a lower level in whatever you use for server farm distribution and load balancing.
It should take minutes to work out if it's a software or connection error. Even if it's a database error, it shouldn't take more than a day to fix even if you have to test the fix on another system, do change requests and all the other red tape that comes with big business
Submissions are syncing now, also with +1 discovery. Hoping nothing left behind.
After I just commented my POI have all synced and I have portal keys.
Lol as soon as I make a comment, sync starts happening. Thanks!
My Portals are partly synced, but there are still some missing. Also, a Photo sync has happened :O
I can confirm all of my approved wayspots are showing up on IITC, except one... which might be way too close to another one of mine but I'm happy with how things have turned out. Glad they were able to fix this issue relatively quickly. X^P
Of the three approved portals, two showed up. The remaining one exists as a Pokéstop, but it is probably too close to an existing portal to be displayed as a portal. I am going to vote on the photo of this Pokéstop and see if it shows up as a portal tomorrow.
Thank team for taking care of fixing the problem.
I have had 3 portals now come online so appears current issue is fixed. Thank you for rectifying.
However still missing +1 recognition for portals back in November 2021.
My request to you to correct the location information has been resolved.
Thank you.
This is resolved, downside (or upside depending if you were against it) the 20m rule is back, which is annoying
Out of the 4 portals approved, 3 of mine were synced. But I am still missing one and it's not within 20m of another portal.
Mine synced as well with +1 for portals discovered. And additional photos synced too.
Still missing +1 for portals discovered in August 2021 & November 2021.
hello, 6 portals to migrate but 3 are still missing they are in the area of 20m from another portal this will also be corrected because we agree there is always more distance?
The sync now appears to be fixed. But the 20m rule has been re-implemented.
that's really lame from nia.
5k agreements so nearly 7-8k reviews just for NOTHING. won't do any wayfarer soon again.....
and 75 now useless nominations left in wayfarer queue.
Agreed. It may have been an error that it was removed but more Wayspots have been added and Agents & Wayfarers know they don’t need to worry about the 20m rule so have submitted interesting things that should be in the games.
We all knew that the lack of 20m rules was a bug. No official statement was announced
"If you play with fire, you get burned."
Pictures are now sync too, good new for the battle of pictures :D
I agree but disagree. Since it was not officially announced there was a bug, this should be considered a feature. And that feature is gone now without a statement from Niantic. Put aside there was not ever a word from Niantic that there is a 20m rule.
Either way Niantic is doing something wrong here. I think Niantic is the one who plays with the fire lol
Finally fixed after three weeks yey!!!
OH WAIT the 20 meter rule is implemented again...
A "bug" that works for the players favor??
PATCH IT QUICKLY
Problem solved (only that the 20m is again applied)
Thanks to @NianticGiffard and development team. We hope that the problem will not occur again in future 🤞
Have a nice day
Indeed if it's not a bug, it's a feature.
And both sides play with fire (lack of communication & (ab)use of a feature.
So what you're saying is that this was no "Bug" or "Mistake"? It was Niantic sneakily fixing something beneficial to the player?
Yup! Niantic at its finest!
With today's reinstatement of the 20-meter rule, Wayspot was created only in the Lightship, although it is not visible from PGO or Ingress.
The Wayspot is a kind of playground, and if you move 10m inside the playground from the current Wayspot location, you will be more than 20m away from the existing portal, but I cannot submit an edit request for a location invisible to PGO and Ingress, and I had submitted a nomination for the Wayspot again I just get the result back that it was a duplicate.
I think this is a bug, if the 20m rule was to be reinstated, the 20m rule should apply to Wayspot as well.
Glad to hear the issue has been fixed for you all, just writing back to confirm it from our end too.
It introduced a new issue of re-introducing the 20m rule though. Can you communicate with the Ingress team as folks aren’t happy about that.
