Multiple deliberately misplaced wayspots

City: Beit Shemesh

Country: Israel

(Google Maps' data for Israel is notoriously horrible - here's an up-to-date, high resolution map of the area in question)

It's a Police Academy with no Street View (certainly not inside the buildings). As more and more wayspots are submitted in this location, it's becoming clearer and clearer that the submitter behind them is deliberately placing wayspots in false locations so they'd fit in separate L17 cells. I can only prove so from the main and supporting images, but I think the evidence says enough.

All these photos have the same theme - areas in Southern Israel and the Negev Desert, as you'll notice from the desert photos on the walls even if you don't understand the language - all designed the same way, surrounded by the same drawings - some of the photos even PROVE that they share the same space. Yet they wayspots are scattered around the entire academy compound, with the pins placed in different buildings.

Notice the distance between the nomination and the existing wayspot (title - ימין ושמאל רק חול וחול; location - 31.738818,34.948784).

Title: בית מורשת משטרת ישראל

Location: 31.740279,34.949768

Compare with the museum's location as marked on the government mapping website (building marked with the same title, בית מורשת משטרת ישראל).

I'm having a hard time finding information online (naturally, considering the location), but there are more and more nominations coming from this location (seemingly from the same submitter) - if the team can compare the photos and locations of the nominations still in queue/voting, I'm sure they can come up with more information (especially concerning #4-#6 on this list).

More coming in from this location, still clearly misplaced for L17 cells.

Those statues are all obviously close together in real life - they clearly share the same background - yet the pins are placed dozens of meters away, even in different buildings.

    Another one.

Again, notice the distances between wayspots that are clearly supposed to be located next to each other, in the same building, not whole buildings apart. Even the wayspot marked with the red X, that shares the same subject as the nomination (the Dead Sea, ים המלח) and therefore is logically supposed to be placed right next to the nomination.

In this overlay, you can see they're all very neatly placed in different L17 cells.

  • Hi there, @SiIverLyra-PGO! We have reviewed the report and have taken action on the Wayfinder in accordance with our policies. While we are unable to discuss our actions in detail to protect the submitter’s privacy, they may include, but are not limited to, sending a warning message, placing restrictions on their Wayfarer, Pokémon GO, or Ingress account, putting their account on probation, or placing a temporary or permanent suspension on their Wayfarer, Pokémon GO or Ingress account.

However, in order to place the Wayspots at the correct location, we would need additional evidence (geotagged images, photospheres). Hence, if you may share additional information at your convenience, we can proceed to review the Waystops to place them at the correct location.
