Additional information: Guildford Grammar School is a K-12 school. The Wayspot is on school grounds. It is a religious private school -- the chapel is part of the school. The attached map is from their school website (https://ggs.wa.edu.au/GGS/media/Documents/About%20Us/Location/Senior-School-Map-2017.pdf). The Wayspot is located between Building 17 (Senior School Administration) and Building 16 (Chapel).

Attached are some photos from afar. I did not feel comfortable crossing the fence line to enter the school property. In the first photo, the POI can just be seen between the two central buildings
you answered your own question in this. A Grammar school counts as a k-12 school and wayspots are not alowed on the property of them.
I think you may have Tntnnbltn-ING's question backward - I read their post as appealing a decision to not remove the wayspot.
but if your there on weekends it is open to the public for weddings and sport
Still a K-12 site for the rest of the week, so the Waypoint is invalid.
And some amusement parks are closed for parts of the year, so should those portals be invalid as well. I don't think so!
Okay, so all those temporal footy posts and soccer goals are deemed invaluable to be a POI too. As well as those grassy "cricket pitches," cos well in your case, grass grows it out over time.
#seasonalPOI #temporalPOI #shorttermPOI
Post title wrong. 1-2⭐️
This Ingress portal does not require 'jumping a fence line" to capture it (or trespassing as appears to be suggested by the person requesting it to be removed from the portal network).
You can walk to the end of the street and access the portal from behind the church, which is open for access, including public weddings.
If it is on the grounds of a k12 school, it is invalid regardless of public access.

Welcome to the Wayfarer forums.
As other posters have pointed out, Wayspots which are on K-12 school grounds are not eligible, regardless whether or not there is public access at other times. This is consistent with other judgements Niantic has made in the past, and it appears that Niantic have already removed this Wayspot since I made this post.
I recognise that this Wayspot was in an area which is popular with your collective team in Ingress. My reporting of it was not based on this fact, as I report any and all K-12 Wayspots I come across. In fact, the same day as this was posted, I also posted an appeal for Wayspot at a K-12 school in Bunbury, which you would know is more controlled by my team in Ingress. My Bunbury appeal did not receive any comments whatsoever, whereas this post has received a number.
I would hope that the surge of comments from first-time posters here is not reflective of faction bias, and that we can continue to improve the Wayfarer network together.
then just about every sporting field goal post cricket pitch basketball hoop so on and so on in the metro should be deleted asmost a on school grounds as they hire there fields out on weekends . theres no bias faction on this side of the fence
@cycl0nebrian-ING If the sporting equipment is on school grounds then yes, it should be reported. If you come across any which you feel are on school grounds, you can report then via the in-game scanner, and select K-12 as the reason.
This Ingress portal does not require 'jumping a fence line" to capture it (or trespassing as appears to be suggested by the person requesting it to be removed from the portal network).
You can walk to the end of the street and access the portal from behind the church, which is open for access, including public weddings.
If you check the photos below you can clearly see the public access path and the portal at then end of the path just between the two trees in the last photo.
As it has been said before in this post, it's not about "can you reach the portal from outside", it's the wayfarer forum, not ingress talk.
So as the rules of Wayfarer clearly and unambiguously stated, if a Waypoint is ON a K-12 property(or equivalent for each country) it is ineligible and should be reported and removed.
I have been trying to post photos to show-case that no trespassing was needed for this portal access. Regardless of whether it stays in the portal network or not (I personally had another one removed from Guildford Grammar grounds in the past)... the original comment that went with this post is incorrect. No trespassing is needed and the portal is completely accessible via public access.
Nothing I added to this post appears in the comments. I tried three different web-browsers, phone and computer.
Another account ?? /-
Being accessible from the outside don't matter.
If the Waypoint is ON the Guildford grounds, it has to be removed.
Unfortunately, Niantic's rules state that if the PoI is in a K-12 location or Private Residential Property, even on the outside wall so it's fully accesibible without entering such properties, then the PoI is not eligible and they will remove such wayspots whenever they are reported.
Well then @Tntnnbltn-ING You will have no issues doing your community duty and getting these portals removed then will you? Both on Miitary Commonwealth property with no public access. Please present your non bias in the community by getting these two portals removed then. I look forward to your response. Cheers.

@Underlying-ING One of the Wayspots you identified was already reported for removal and appealed on this forum when the report was rejected. Niantic also rejected the appeal.
https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/discussion/20130/new-military-base-portal-please-remove
Niantic have set out specific rejection criteria. Those criteria are:
* No pedestrian access.
* Obstructs or interferes with emergency services.
* Private residential property.
* School (up to K-12).
* Permanently removed from location.
* Duplicate of another portal.
Being on a military base is not one of the removal criteria. Having restricted access does not count as ‘no pedestrian access’ because those who are authorised to access the area have safe pedestrian access.
I hope that helps to clarify the situation and the removal criteria.
That being said, the topic appears to have drifted away from the original report, and perhaps it is best that this topic is closed. (@NianticGiffard @NianticVK ?) If you have concerns with the Wayspots you identified then it may be better to post a separate topic for those so that there can be input from others in the community.
Thanks for the lively discussion on this thread. Based on the content of the discussion, I will be closing it for future comments. I appreciate your understanding.
Thanks for the appeal, @Tntnnbltn-ING! After reviewing the additional evidence provided, we’ve decided to retire the Portal in question.
