Hi there,
I feel like i had this question for few years now. New photos we submit for an existing POI where do they go?
Niantic emails say to check my contributions page, but that one is for POI nominations.
Can i see when i submitted them? If they have been refused or they are pending or voting?

They are still working at it, though.
unfortunately you cannot. what you can do is save the emails you get when you submit something. when your edit either gets accepted or rejected (which in some places can take a couple days to a couple years), you will get a new email.
hopefully they can get this implemented in the next couple of months, or at least edit their emails to no longer say you can view your edits on the contribution page.
It's what i am currently doing.
In my hometown takes hours to be approved and then appear.
Where i am based now due to my job it used to take a couple of weeks.. but now with my last bunch of pics is taking months! Probably almost 1 year now. Interesting enough, when it was quick i was using my Ingress account..
My photo nominations take months to a year to get approved. Then months to a year to appear on portals. It's a very long process.
Some of my image submissions get approved and implemented within days, some are still out there from over a year ago. It’s kind of like nominations themselves in that approval time frames are inconsistent.
