Wayfarer e-mails are sent to the old e-mail after change of e-mail address for login to Ingress

Hi,
I am using an iPhone 13 Pro with iOS 15.1.1 and Ingress Prime 2.86.1
I have used an e-mail address in my own domain for login since I started playing back in year 5. This e-mail address ([email protected]) is linked to google. I have decided that I would like to change this to using my [email protected] address instead.
To do the change I used he following steps
- Link my Apple Id
- Logout from prime
- Login using ny Apple ID
- Unlink my address [email protected]
- Link my g-mail address [email protected]
- Logout from prime
- Login using my connected g-mail address [email protected]
This works and I can also use my gmail address when logging in to the intel map and to wayfarer. So far so good.
However, when I get e-mails from wayfarer, like decisions on my nominations new photographs etc, they are sent to my old [email protected] address instead of the new [email protected] address.

When I submitted an invalid portal today I got the email to my new email. So it looks like actions done before my ingame email change are sent to my old email and actions after the email change is sent to the new email. This definately is a bug. All emails should be sent to the new email address.

Yes I still have the same problem.
Any update on this? I have a similar issue. My profile shows the NEW e-mail, but notifications still go to the OLD e-mail.
Apparently the email they use to send the info is linked to the single nomination, not to the profile.
Appeals I made on nomination proposed with my old mail are still sent to the old email.
Also, if I logged in to the same account but using Facebook, which has not the same email as Google, I receive niantic mail about that nomination on my Facebook email
