New "Big Flower" wayspots are not syncing into Pikmin Bloom

For several weeks (possibly months?) new "Big Flowers" have not been syncing into Pikmin Bloom when eligible Wayspots are approved.
It does appear that Big Flowers wayspots that have their locations moved are having their locations updated in-game in Pikmin Bloom, and that Big Flower wayspots that are removed from Niantic's Lightship database are being removed from Pikmin Bloom, and that newly accepted wayspots can result in your Pikmin finding a Post Card for that location.
Despite the above, newly accepted wayspots are not appearing in-game as Big Flowers, even in locations where there are no other wayspots for miles, and they should meet the requirements to appear in Pikmin Bloom.
I am not sure if this bug also applies to new Mushrooms but I would assume it does as well.
Comments
I have two waypoints that I can see in Ingress/Pokemon from my office which are not in Pikmin, and both are far enough from any other blooms/mushrooms that I would expect at least one of them to be in game. The older of the two was approved in late November, so that would be the one I would think would be most likely to appear - although I know of no reason the other shouldn't appear as well. Here's a dynamic link to the older of the two portals: https://link.ingress.com/?link=https%3a%2f%2fintel.ingress.com%2fportal%2f75b8debcd9cc34c2bdb84428237bfb73.16&apn=com.nianticproject.ingress&isi=576505181&ibi=com.google.ingress&ifl=https%3a%2f%2fapps.apple.com%2fapp%2fingress%2fid576505181&ofl=https%3a%2f%2fintel.ingress.com%2fintel%3fpll%3d47.539789%2c-122.336569.

@NianticGiffard we have been trying to bring this issue up on the Pikmin forum for 2 weeks now with none of the moderators actually reading our posts. We keep getting the general “not everything will sync line” we are aware that not everything will sync but we can’t find evidence of anything syncing even in areas with nothing in it for miles. We are also aware that this might be a Pikmin issue but as we are unable to get their attention I am going to try and get yours again. Please take some time and read what we are talking about.
thank you

Experiencing same here (Madrid, Spain). Tried to contact support with coordinates and observations but all it gave was generic "Thanks for reporting, you will get no answer!" Reading support responses in those two Pikmin forum threads is a huge bummer. I wonder if staff here can at least clarify wether this is Wayfarer/Lightship issue or game specific one (or both?). When photos in Ingress weren't syncing, for example, the team put bug report as "investigating" on this forum, so fingers crossed, hopefully they can do something about this sync issue as well.
One example from me for good measure.
Coordinates: 40.473329,-3.628755
Name: Entrada Baja de Bosque de Los Abrazos Perdidos
Synced to Ingress and Pokemon Go, no POis in relative vicinity (although i'm not sure what's close for Pikmin)
This has also been raised on the Pikmin Bloom forums but I know that for Harry Potter: Wizards Unite sync issues, the Wayfarer team were needed for their expertise so I am hoping they can help here.
These three threads should contain all the details needed, and show that even though new items have been added, nothing syncs.
Some items have been added to entirely empty areas but still do not appear on the game. Please assist
Yes, I got a Wayspot accepted in an entirely blank level 14 s2 cell on 15th April. It synced the same day to Ingress and Pokémon Go, but has not yet appeared in Pikmin Bloom
Some people have raised that items do get added as Postcards. However the items that obey the cell rules should be added as Big Flowers/Mushrooms.
Theres already a bug report for this at...

Can confirm this is an issue. I know completely barren areas where I have created new wayspots, but they weren't synced to Pikmin Bloom as either mushrooms or big flowers. Hope someone from Niantic can look into this!
Incredibly frustrating responses on the Pikmin community forum; hopefully someone here takes the time to read the bug report. I would also like to add that new photos for existing wayspots don't sync to Pikmin either (not even when it becomes the new main photo for the wayspot in Ingress/PoGo).
Ah hadn’t realised! Hopefully they can pick up either thread.
@Roli112-PGO pointed out to me that there’s already a thread here so can @NianticGiffard merge them please?
I see @AisforAndis-ING started this one and we have both had the fun experience of dealing with the Niantic Support alphabet gang on the Pikmin forums about this.
I would also like to point out (as has been mentioned in the Pikmin forum and in J's thread) that several of us watching/reporting this issue were around for the HPWU lack-of-sync issues that plagued that game throughout 2020 and into 2021. While the reasons behind the lack of sync are (hopefully!) different here - or at least appear to be, based on historical evidence - the complete and utter lack of f's given by support and anyone who doesn't play the game is eerily familiar, and quite frankly has me worried for Pikmin's future if Wayfarer explorers aren't able to see their contributions added to the game and people in currently-waypoint-sparse areas aren't able to benefit from those contributions.
Now as for why Joe Agent or Jane Pokemon Trainer (or NianticSupportZzz, for that matter) should give 2 hoots about Pikmin not syncing.... Maybe you don't play Pikmin Bloom. Maybe you didn't play Wizards Unite. But maybe someday you might play another Niantic game, and at this point, Niantic has proven (to me at least) that they really don't care about sync in any game other than Pokemon - and mostly Ingress, which is their original baby. So I have 0 confidence that ANY future games will have waypoint syncs - whether we're talking about Transformers, Peridot, or other ideas that have yet to be released. And then ... what's the point of continuing on Wayfarer, when Niantic's just throwing your suggestions into a black hole and not doing anything with them?
NianticSupportG has finally replied with a vague statement;
Hi All! We appreciate your patience. Currently, we are adding new Wayspots to Pikmin Bloom on an irregular basis. We're unable to give you a timeline for when this work will be performed. Also, considering the gaming experience, not all Wayspots will necessarily be reflected in the app. Thanks for your understanding! https://community.pikminbloom.com/en/discussion/comment/3052#Comment_3052
Hi there. Just wanted to share what's been shared on the Pikmin Bloom FAQ pages regarding Wayspots in their game. When there's more to share from their team, they'll post it in there too.
Oh, it’s been officially added to their FAQs now? That’s great. Was there an issue previously?
Hi there. We've shared these reports with the appropriate team. Wanted to share what's been shared on the Pikmin Bloom FAQ pages regarding Wayspots in their game. When there's more to share from their team, they'll post it in there too.
No issue to my knowledge. I think they added it after seeing the reports in our Community and their own.
Hi @NianticTintino, I'm a bit late following up on this, but I don't think the Pikmin team is truly listening to or understanding the full nature/scope of the concern here. I would reasonably guess that the Pikmin support person who has been communicating with us doesn't understand Wayspot sync related issues as much as we/you do. So I hope you will look at this to gain a better understanding of the issue so that we can get it resolved.
Pikmin Bloom DOES have a regularly occurring Wayspot sync. That sync includes the following:
The above clearly indicates that a sync does occur in Pikmin Bloom, The one thing that Pikmin's sync does NOT do is add new Big Flower/Mushroom Wayspots, under any circumstances, nor has it ever done so in the 6+ months the game has been released globally. This is the issue.
It does not make sense that Pikmin Bloom will remove Wayspots, but not add Wayspots to replace them if there are some available. It does not make sense that new Wayspots can get added as a postcard, but will not appear as a Big Flower or Mushroom even when they should meet the requirements to do so. People have submitted Wayspots miles away from other Wayspots, and they still do not appear in Pikmin Bloom when by all reasoning they should.
When you, and the community managers for Pokemon Go and Ingress constantly parrot the line of "If your nomination isn't doesn't meet the requirements for Pokemon Go/Ingress is may appear in other Niantic games", it should actually have a chance to appear in your other titles, which in Pikmin Bloom it does not.
The support article you linked states that "Currently, we are adding new Wayspots to Pikmin Bloom on an irregular basis."
This is not true. New Wayspots have NEVER been added to Pikmin Bloom doing the game's global release period. I don't know about you, but it doesn't make very much sense to process edits and remove Wayspots on a near-daily basis (similar to Ingress and Pokemon Go), but not to actually add new ones as the other titles do.
After claiming that there was no issue for months and originally scapegoating the issue behind "not all Wayspots are eligible to become flowers/mushrooms", the Pikmin Support team is now claiming that the lack of Wayspots is because of an irregular Wayspot sync. This is not true. The sync is regular, it just does not properly add new Big Flowers or Mushrooms to the game, nor has it ever.
Pikmin support clearly did not understand or legitimize our concerns when we originally supported this, and while they are now giving us a difference answer, they still are not taking it seriously. Hopefully you can make sense of this and help us find a resolution.
This is an old memory so there may be some minor misunderstandings, but I remember that there was a time when Pokémon GO stopped syncing wayspots, not temporarily, but with clear intent.
I remember this was at the end of 2017 after OPR started.
Shortly after the OPR started, some wayspots were newly reflected in Pokémon GO, but then clearly stopped for several months.
I remember it was until about the end of the year.
Therefore, I believe Pikminbloom is also temporarily suspended with clear intent.
And it will be up to them to decide when to turn on the new wayspot.
Since PoGO realized they haven't done a spawn/map update in almost 2/3 years, I also hope the Pikmin team is aware that Pikmin Bloom released exactly one year ago and new flowers/mushrooms haven't been added since. What exactly is the reason you are damaging your own products so effectively? Yes I know, not Wayfarer related. Just a general thought.
Oh no! Niantic is confused! It hurt itself in it's confusion!
I’d really like if they did do that, especially as they now have Sponsored Locations as an option in Pikmin Bloom too.
Hi @NianticTintino-ING just wanted to come back to this now that Pikmin Bloom has been out for a year and ask if that counts as an “irregular basis” for any Flower/Mushroom syncs. We have also seen that Peridot will get Wayfarer. What about Pikmin Bloom?
