Remember that there are no updates yet for bot rejections in Germany (and also the Netherlands), and then our friend @HaramDingo-ING is still lamenting on both Indian spoofers and that one guy who spams endless junk nominations.

I hope they catch the spoofers that keep submitting screen shots of Antarctica locations.
how can a spoofer send a picture from antarctica locations if he in reality isnt there hence cant take pictures (assuming are legit pictures what you are talking about) however believe it or not...there is people who play pokemon go in antarctica bases...
definately multi accounters are more problematic and harmful to niantic and players in all aspects...abuse wayfarer system and abuse of the gym system in pogo are two things that come to my head, speaking about spoofing i think is more harmful in ingress because all actions impact the players like taking down portals or making links/fields unlike in pogo where if the person all do in his couch is catch a pidgey in timbuktu...well nobody cares about him
Spoofers are going to be easier to spot than mult-accounters.
Honestly I feel like this blog post says absolutely nothing. Just vague promises of improvements. And considering Niantics track record of promising improvements that never happen... well...

Totally agreed ! They don't really care about it. And even if they do, they don't have enough personnal to solve this. Just take a look at here, the Wayfarer forum. Where are the new updates ?
The recent blog update doesn't explicitly mention multi-accounting or spoofing - it only specifies:
we do not support jailbroken or rooted devices or third-party apps.
I thought they've long disallowed jailbroken or rooted phones.
"Third-party apps" include bots, overlays, extensions, add-ons, etc. Only Agent Stats have official permission to access to Niantic data. But maybe there's an official app specific to PoGo that I don't know of?
Anyway, I'll be glad to have Wayfarer bots cleared out! Do we know what people at a past Pokemon Go event got emails for?
I checked the links in the blog. Strangely they don't mention jailbreaking or spoofing - except as "unofficial" third-party software.
"Player guidelines" specify:
4 - No cheating
Unfortunately, methods of cheating are limited only by cheaters’ imaginations, and include the following:
-using modified or unofficial software,
-playing with multiple accounts (one account per player),
-using tools or techniques to alter or falsify your location (“spoofing”),
-sharing accounts,
-intentionally exploiting a bug to gain reward,
-abusing refund policy and mechanism,
-buying or selling in-game currency or items on third-party platforms,
-buying/selling/trading accounts,
or any other activity that is in violation of Niantic’s Terms of Service, available here: https://nianticlabs.com/terms/
The terms and conditions include:
3.1 Cheating
Cheating includes any action that attempts to or actually alters or interferes with the normal behavior or rules of a Service. Cheating includes, but is not limited to, any of the following behavior, on your own behalf or on behalf of others:
-Accessing Services in an unauthorized manner (including using modified or unofficial third party software);
-Playing with multiple accounts for the same Service;
-Sharing accounts;
-Using any techniques to alter or falsify a device’s location (for example through GPS spoofing); and/or
-Selling or trading accounts.
Spoofing is specifically forbidden in the second to the last bullet point in that copy/paste.
As someone currently being targeted by gym-aggressive multi-accounting spoofers, I certainly hope that they tackle these issues better than they have in the past. I know from previous conversations that this group considers themselves invincible.
@ZeroZeroZiete-ING Just so you know, I am one of those people. I can spot a real photo over a photo of a computer screen or taken from google maps. I have reviewed many that are fake. I also have reviewed many that appear to be real. But many images are photos taken of a computer screen as I can see the lines in the in picture of the photo or its cropped from a google maps photo. It is my suspicion it is done by spoofing, as they spoof near the suggest location and submit from the app as they are already within the 20km or whatever the range is now. There is a thread that I have posted many too. I deal with hundreds of PokeGo spoofers daily with the two gyms that are at my location. Create more points and they turn into gyms - gyms to where they can spoof to. Here is one of my reviews I received in the past couple of months.
Both the main and supporting photos are taken from online. Not hard to see. I review at least 3 a day that look like this.
