This listing is being monitored by Niantic Wayfarer in response to reports of spurious rejections

Gonna have to press X to doubt on this one. 😆
- This listing is being monitored by Niantic Wayfarer in response to reports of spurious rejections Meets criteria as a long standing, independent, and locally popular restaurant. HD images provided. Visible safe pedestrian access. Visible in Street View and via a Google Sphere inside restaurant.
Nice attempt though.

Abuse for influencing reviewers, right?
Yes, that’s what anyone I’ve seen that gets this has been selecting.
I see something similar in Japan.
Currently in Vietnam a lot of people suffer like this. For very unreasonable reasons such as:
-Fake Nomination,Mismatched Location:While the location is very accurate
-Low Quality Photo: While the object image is very clear and visible
-Temporary or Seasonal Display: The object it is located in is fixed and permanent
-Title or Description: For the reason that other languages are not accepted (except for native languages)
And many other reasons for refusal. Hope Niantic has a remedy for this
I'm confused, is this a statement from Niantic or abuse by submitters?
My screenshot :D This was the 2nd time the submitter has subbed this, I saw the original sub and rejected it for generic business (or ORC, whatever you kids call it these days), now it's back with some random supporting abuse, so rejected it as abuse this time (it's still a generic business too)
Generic business isn't on the rejection criteria page any more. I'm not saying this should be accepted (especially not when it's attempting to influence reviewers on this particular iteration of it), but you probably should be a bit more open minded when it comes to businesses. It is still up to the submitter to do a good job of explaining why they believe it meets the criteria though.
It's very similar to a nomination that I saw in review back in November 2021:
I wonder if people actually do process and collect data on reviews, or Niantic for that matter.
Nothing in it as a whole really sold it to me, the description isn't much to go on and the supporting would be better if it didn't exist at all, so into the pile of coal it goes. Secondly, it also throws the entire area of Ruislip into question, reviewers will be more cautious and skeptical of anything coming from there and that will only lead to more rejections, but hey feed me more agreements please :)
I have no doubt that there are lots of people out there collecting as much data as possible from reviews. Why do you think that there are several user scripts for the wayfarer site?
I remember there was some sort of userscript that once you saw a nomination to review, anyone else who had the same userscript installed and reviewed that nomination before had how they rated show up on screen, so people would see and rate accordingly to others.
Oh I found it. It was called OPR Brainstorm:
The data is sent through to Telegram, yadda yadda read the post but it was a way to compare one's own reviewing with how people who have previously reviewed a nomination.
But in regards to people actually saying that listings are "monitored by Wayfarer" or my example above about information being collected is highly unlikely to be collected by said submitter.
Hi @PkmnTrainerJ-ING! We have reviewed the report and taken action on 2 Wayspots and a Wayfinder in accordance with our policies. While we are unable to discuss our actions in detail to protect the submitter’s privacy, they may include, but are not limited to, sending a warning message, placing restrictions on their Wayfarer, Pokémon GO, or Ingress account, putting their account on probation, or placing a temporary or permanent suspension on their Wayfarer, Pokémon GO or Ingress account. Thanks for helping us maintain the quality of the Wayspots.
Was just on a trip to Vietnam I nominated quite a number of totally clear pokestops large temples, museums, even a missing international airport!
Within hours (!) of the nomination, All of them were rejected with totally random fake explanations - poor quality photo, third-party photo, wrong title or description, inappropriate location, private house etc. Just totally random..I repeated the nomination process in different cities in Vietnam twice in the course of ten days, exactly same result, only rejections, within hours.
Any way to get this info to Niantic to stop these trolls?
before naming them trolls, would you mind showing your contributions @1996vuachoigame-PGO ?
usually it isnt possible for something to go into voting within hours, it seems to be that there is a different problem @NianticTintino-ING might help you out here.
That person was inactive since Jan 23 lol. Besides, someone has necro'd this thread.
And btw Japan has similiar but serious cases compared to the nomination shown here.
