Wasted nominations because of bad reviewing (?
Hello
I'm opening this thread because I've recently gotten several rejections by some "non-sense" reasons. I think I'm nominating correctly according to the guidelines, but I don't know.
What do you think? If there's a way to improve or something, please comment below.
Nomination 1: Informative map inside the Supermarket.
Rejection criteria: Not important or significant, other rejection criteria, low quality photo.
Support photo: Showing the surroundings.
It's actually interesting that street view does exist in this supermarket. AND AS YOU CAN SEE, I have 3 more rejected ones, obviously in the different entrances. They've been always there since the supermarket was built. So idk what I am doing wrong.
I actually have one accepted, which is in the entrance #1.
The main photo helps to show the object and not to use it as "guide", so the "low quality photo" is ridiculous to me.

What criterion do you think this meets?
Informative sign
Lol.map in a supermarket? I don't even think mall directories are considered eligible even though there is one at each entrance.
Excuse my bad english.
It's actually a big "Plaza" with cinema, playground, food stations, gym, park.
Here's the map with street view inside it https://www.google.com/maps/place/19%C2%B047'21.1%22N+99%C2%B003'19.4%22W/@19.7892736,-99.0554499,44m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0xb4b0507d0cca7739!8m2!3d19.7892194!4d-99.0554427
It's not clear to me that a mall map is a great place to be social, a great place to exercise, or a great place to explore. Thus, I believe that this rejection is correct.
It's actually a good place to be social and explore.
Anyway, thanks for your point of view :D
So the Nomination should be for the mall, not each map of that mall.
You're lucky that you got one of them approved.
Shopping maps are there to encourage you to spend money. They do not qualify.
Trail maps are there encourage exercise for the sake of exercise. They do qualify.
If one has been approved and showing nearby when people are reviewing it's possible people are marking your new nominations as duplicates of that one.
I think one map is okay the other ones no. Try something else interesting mall, inauguration plaque or something.
What the above postings tell you @jaaxtmp-ING answers your question. They consider it wasted nominations rather than bad reviewing.
However, the above postings also don't deride you for those nominations. I believe they believe as I do; you simply didn't know any better.
Please take from their comments the positives that come from it, you've learned something that will aid in future nominations you submit.
If that is a map which I find difficult to tell with that photo, then it encourages people to explore the area inside there. That is how I at least see it.
I would put low quality photo because I want the camera to be closer to the map so people can actually tell it's a map (if it is a map).
At the same, if I were to review it myself straight up, I would most likely have the option to click on the nomination photo in order to zoom-in on it, that way seeing if it is a map or not easier. Perhaps if that worked, I could avoid putting low quality photo and instead either put a high or low rating on it.
Since nobody here has already mentioned it, I could myself in case JaaxtMP didn't know. The 'not important or significant' rejection criteria could possible have been a rejection coming from some reviewers marking the nomination as a duplicate, but not enough reviewers marking it that for it to go through. Instead of duplicate rejection, that 'not important or significant' rejection being the one put on the nomination instead.
Thanks for the dislikes, it's obvious that you all have a better idea of reviewing, which means the rejection criteria was right. That's all
Greetings :D
There seems to be this constant battle between submitters and reviewers. Like a tug of war. In the mix of this battle are that area's waypoint game politics ( factions within a game) also that area's game grid disputes, or that area's cross game conflicts (players in different games). Look at this title.... bad reviewing? From the submitted images there are NO image of it on a map. just a possible grid location. and just a photo. It's crazy.
Apologies for the delayed response, @jaaxtmp-ING. We took another look at the nominations in question and decided that they don't meet our criteria for acceptance at this time. We appreciate your understanding!
Hello, it is normal for a post office to be rejected so who is part of the criteria?
Much easier to keep track of comments and answers if you post your questions in their own thread, one nomination per thread, rather than dropping it into a completely different thread.
To answer you question - Post Offices should be accepted - this rejection is poor reviewing
Thank you for your advice, it was my first message and I am not yet familiar with this forum.
@NianticOtoStar can you close this thread please?
