Appeal for the restoration of the deleted waypoint Pont du Rauzel
Hello,
I like Ingress because of the strategy it implies and, above all, the discoveries it allows (more than 622 validated waypoints for 782 submitted).
I have the bitter regret to see today that my almost Home Portal has been deleted: Pont du Rauzel (https://intel.ingress.com/intel?ll=44.1723,2.96523&z=15&pll=44.1723,2.96523).
This bridge was built in 1840 during the creation of the new road from Millau to Rodez then vital for the economy of the commune at the XIXth century (see : https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint-Beauz%C3%A9ly#Lieux_et_monuments).
If the waypoint was located at the level of a departmental road, its location was shifted to the side and always on the public space, to be accessible in safety. Also, it is possible to access the waypoint through the fields on both sides.
Therefore, I request the immediate reinstatement of the portal and the links they carried.
Best regards

In addition, other waypoints concerning a bridge could be restored (see: https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/discussion/10536/invalid-wayspot-appeals).
The image below shows how the waypoint can be accessed in safety. In rural area in France, many waypoints are on the side of the road, but this does not mean that they are all deleted (statue, cros...)
Thanks for the review
This waypoint, "Pont de Rauzel", let us discover a part of the local history of Saint-Beauzély.
This bridge is part of the Local culture and heritage, as shown here
You can also see it on the municipal bulletin number 24 here at the page 15
As you can read, this bridge as been an important trigger for the development of this part of the region and must be restaured
on voit bien le cadastre ce qui permet effectivement de voir la validité de ce magnifique pont ancestral, la question est de savoir pourquoi il a été supprimé.... et dommage quon ne sache pas par qui. Hâte de le revoir
It is a very nice bridge. There are even a few ducks in the river 😜
Well ...in what is flowing now 😕
However, to access it and to be able to contemplate it, you have to park your car and walk a little.

@NianticOtoStar please choose your decision, Thank you for your work
this bridge seems quite dangerous in the evening, for my part I will not adventure towards it after sunset or even in the rainy period...
I think Niantic did a very good job of removing that portal.
compared to other crosses, it has a secure pedestrian access
You said is most safe in other appeal…. 😐
This bridge is not secure at all for pedestrian access, no sidewalk and high speed road (80/90km/h)
Asking for a Home portail is not a reason for validation or appeal a deletion.
About historic reason, is not a bypass about security. Then, your document say this is a 1840 bridge, very common one, not an Eiffel, Roman, Vauban or Middle Age bridge.
