How do such appointments meet the guidelines? Valuable POIs are removed and such [SELF REDACTED] are accepted....

i understand the first one, but the last two ones are physical markers along a trail i assume? If so those are eligible with the current criteria
There are more than a dozen of these trails in this area. You can buy a paintbrush and add another couple dozen... They should not pass the vote.
Eastern Germany has the same style of trail marking with such symbols for named trail. Along trails are usually lots of good trail marker signposts, that are good candidates.
Those spray chalk markings at trees are garbage. Often they are evry 20m, and spray chalk is not really permanent ....
Hold your horses here.
A Trailmarker is an acceptable wayspot, if it is on a wandering trail.
That INCLUDES painted trailmarkers on Trees.
If you dont know what it is, look it up (yes you that submits) for example germany: https://www.wanderreitkarte.de/
Tell the reviewer what kind of sign it is and what trail.
Still; the "communethe" is likely to reject it. Niantic will accept it in appeal. They did with mine.
I am not asking for their removal. I'm just pointing out the utter LACK OF QUALITY of the POI.
There is no lack of quality. There is only people with different interests.
what would you expect? There is no lack of quality.
Large parts of Poland are remote, and people are poor. They dont build fancy POI.
I think you don't live in Poland. Poland may not be one of the richer countries, but its inhabitants do not have to fight for survival every day like in an African village. We have many great wayspot spots here, but some prefer to nominate border posts and other non-eligible places
Of course he is.
Also OP showed that pathetic quality of the Wayspots that can't be removed, yet there's someone who's still removing legit Wayspots by 'manipulating' OSM map until now, yes?
Hashes painted on trees and posts are not trail markers and shouldn't be nominated as such. For one they are way too common and two, trees fall or get cut down during trail maintenance
That is not how Niantic sees this.
They have told us they are okay with them when they are on a wandering trail and mark that trail.

Trail signs should be made of metal, wood or stone. Not painted on tree bark... like here: https://outforia.com/trail-signs/ But it is what it is. And I can express my opinion. I will always rate such signs at 1*.
yes it is your opinion. Niantic has a very different opinion. Feel free to express your opinions. I just dont want people read this and think "Hey, that guys reject trailmarkers because of [XY] - I have to reject them, too"
95% will reject them. 5% will accept. It's a shame that those 5% don't care about the quality of the POI just the quantity of Pokestops.
Try submit something like this in your area without the backing of friendly evaluators. Good luck. This place is unfortunately a pathology of submissions.
the real pathology is the fact that Niantic approves these, community often approves these and yet the whole trail got removed recently
if there's a trail in the woods, and it has proper markings, and nothing more interesting is around, why not submit these markings?
and even if more interesting things are there you still are perfectly fine submitting these markings! they are valid entries for the common database, surely you probably would prefer seeing a shrine instead, but the game mechanics may decide the trail marker becomes ingame POI, if you are unhappy about that blame Niantic for these mechanics, not players for submitting valid points
Patience. The second route will also soon disappear. So will some of the multi-accounts.
Wspaniały to był szlak, nie zapomnę go nigdy.
Powstał za to inny szlak 😂
Read Niantic Giffard's answer about painted trail markings and stop telling others that trail markings are not suitable for wayspot because I will give you links read about them
In my opinion, trails as much as possible, as a trail marking with a description. But not another painted mark every 50 meters on the trees. To me, every subsequent painting is a duplicate. Adding 21.37 km in the name doesn't change anything. It's still the same trail. Like a playground. You don't add each slide separately. If I am wrong then maybe someone from Niantic will enlighten me? @NianticGiffard
everything is explained, read it
Unfortunately, it is impossible to determine whether the 2 dashes on the tree in the middle of the forest are true or false. I consider them to be duplicates of the closest such mark.
a good way to check it is to walk along the tourist trail, I hope you will like it and remember not to get lost, stick to the markers painted with paint on the trees
20 minut przeznaczone na recenzję nie wystarczy aby udać się na taki spacer 😉
I live 500 km from these duplicates, so it is unfortunately not feasible. But if I'm in the area I'll try to check them all and report if they don't meet the guidelines.
in England you have stickers with arrows as a marking of the trails, in Poland, the markings of the trails are painted with paint on trees, etc. If you are not sure if these objects are correct and you cannot check, ask a local player who will verify it, there are also useful maps such as https: / /mapa-turystyczna.pl/ where you can check if a given trail is official (although the trail does not have to be official to meet the criteria) if you decide to come to Kashubia, I will be happy to go with you, maybe by then the trail will be expanded greetings
usually, here in germany the markings are done by a team. i guess that applies to poland, too.
just find the local persons that do these markings on the trails. Here in germany they are named "Wegewarte" (Waywarden)
They do seem to be a bit sloppy. Ours are a bit more in the flesh (Find a link from my region for example) https://www.odenwaldklub.de/arbeitskreise/arbeitskreis-wegebezeichnung/
I don't know why one entire trail has been removed and two of the same kind are still available. Apparently they have some more aesthetic or historical significance. I just wanted to point out that in my opinion such submissions are not suitable and should not pass the voting stage. However, since they passed it shows a lot of determination on the part of the submitters and like-minded Wayfarers. I would have given them 1 star, but I didn't come across any in the voting.
well, Niantic´s and the Idea of many contributors isnt historical or aesthetic,
Our Idea and Goal is: We want to get people outside and moving. There isnt a better way to have this in rural areas: We just take them on to the Trail Routes. Niantic gladly says, yes, we want this but the trails need to have markers.
Niantic never said anything about how beautiful they have to be, and in Appeal they always accept our painted-to-the-Tree Markers.
That is the Idea - i know that there are many people out like you that say "uuuh no, 1*".
This is your opinion.
