Trail Markers …… again ( it must be weekend)

My turn to be annoyed 😂
I have had this rejection.
So rejected under other criteria, temporary and mismatched location.
I can see why the temporary as the yellow version is what is often used for a diverted route. But you can actually see the normal sign is identical. There is a lot of redevelopment taking place through the town centre about 200m away and the route follows a diversion through there to bring it back to this point. So I could explain that more but it is also on streetview with the old blue sign alone so some people are being overzealous in my opinion. But I can spell that out.
The location is clearly there as it can be seen on street view and the supplementary matches. The sign has been updated Since streetview but same essential info just a clearer sign.
Then the bulk must be under other. Name of trail is there, number of trail is there. Places it is heading towards is there. It’s a long established, long distance trail. So there are still a large number out there not accepting trail markers.
So do I …..
continue to waste upgrades on these ?
Do I even bother reviewing for upgrades?
Keep responding to rejections by resubmitting - seriously since I have little else to submit having been on holiday I could just drop a new one into system every couple of weeks?
Leave them to fester for over 2 years in our clogged up area? ( Thanks Niantic for starting to resolve the ones from April 2020).
Appeal? Well none of those submitted since they reopened have done anything so it may be quicker than resubmitting but by how much.
I will take any constructive comments on board.
@NianticGiffard the rulings you have made about trail markers are just not being listened to.
Going for a walk along a trail 😉

Looks perfectly fine to me. Some reviewers still either just don't like these or simply don't understand that they're perfectly valid submissions. Even if you link to the forum post that shows their validity in your supporting info, they still struggle to get through the system.
You can Appeal them I guess. You have to remember, not everyone is on the forums, and there’s no requirement to be, so they wouldn’t know of any of Giffard’s clarifications.
I think @HankWolfman-PGO ’s idea of the link is good in theory, but it could be viewed out of context without the whole thread and if you don’t know the situation, you aren’t gonna read the whole thing.
I’ll allow this, as it’s Friday, and nearly the weekend, but do please wait until at least Saturday morning next time before discussing trailmarkers.
I think unfortunately reviewers are still intent on not accepting these type of signs for whatever reason.
Metal sign - Bad.
Little plastic disc - Good.
I just had this through as well
Well you clearly got the title wrong. It's obviously "National Cy twork Route 1" 🤷♂️
Jokes aside, that one even looks fairly unique compared to the others I've seen, because of the round bit that actually says National Cycle Network on it.
It is weird that reviewers won't accept these in lots of cases, but then when I'm reviewing things from places like Bridlington, loads of NCN markers there have been accepted.
Thanks @HankWolfman-PGO, @PkmnTrainerJ-ING and @The26thDoctor-PGO
The problem of communication to wayfarers is never ending. I’m not a huge fan of adding links to a forum post here saying this confirms for the reasons you give. At the very least it needs a place you can quick link to for decisions.
I suppose it’s my own fault for pushing the upgrade during the week and not waiting until the weekend. I have noticed in past that those reviewing on weekday mornings seem to pay little attention to criteria. I did hesitate.
obviously it confirms Fridays are not part of weekend.

Oh and commiserations @The26thDoctor-PGO it looks a good one.
Wrong Pokémon person @Elijustrying-ING
Damn it, messed up again!
Annoyingly the other side was also worn and said Nat Cycle Network.
Thanks have edited it so it might disappear in a black hole 🙄
A few tips for you Eli - I can't really fault your TPT sub, I would have accepted that, maybe link the TPT from LDWA in supporting, give your supporting a bit more strength, and maybe a sphere just to cover off the mismatch.
Don't link giffards thing either, that's really offputting to a lot of people, it gives a "you should accept this cause giffard said so" approach and you wont win any favours doing things that way, not everyone agrees with that post.
As for NCN, well... the less said the better, we've been there and it never ends well.
Thanks @Belahzur-ING i often either use sustrans or LDWA so good point - it should be always and not often.
There are lots of trails that I am now very familiar with - the person who clearly has been walking the way of the gull in the Isle of Man.
I also agree about a link to here.
I would have changes that description, instead of saying to Carrington, keep it route one and say "national cycle network route one marker and ncn emblem", jusy for me personally that would be a bit more interesting
Just to update.
This has now been approved.
as suggested I did a new photosphere and after going through several drafts to make it concise , I explained more about the yellow sign and made it clear it was the permanent one being submitted. And then pushed the upgrade button at the weekend 🤔
Thanks all
PS: off to submit more NCN markers for different trails 😉
Thanks for the agreement, I reviewed your resub :) fyi I didn't drop into your sphere, I had to find it manually.
I wondered if that might happen as it was close to the Main Street view.
Been out way stop hunting today - not a good idea in heat, but as always it pays to walk and be nosey 😂
and thanks again
@Belahzur-ING your The Meet sculpture is in the showcase now.
I reviewed an edit for that a couple of days ago 😎
Yep I got my sculpture on my own showcase too. I don't think you saw an edit for it, that sculpture is (should) be Lightship-only, it doesn't meet spacing rules for the games.
Ah was it brand new ….interesting. Anyway I thought it was fascinating
Yep, subbed on Thursday last week the 4th, went into voting on Sunday morning then threw an upgrade on it, accepted around 9pm that evening, it was part of a small haul of subs I did over there, glad it made the showcase :)
