Incorrect K-12 Rejections

I have just had a nomination Rejected for K-12 reason (why this isn't renamed to be something more meaningful globally I can't quite understand)
So I went onto Google Maps to try and find the mystery school
There is a primary school (ages 4-11) 800m away
A secondary School (Ages 11-18) 940m away
A toddlers day care centre (ages 2-5) 400m away
There is nothing else remotely related to an education establishment on children anywhere near the nomination, basically 45% of the are nearby is a field, the rest houses and a couple of shops pubs.
Why are reviewers allowed to get away with incorrect assessments?

I think if it shows up on the map or there is any indication of a school in the vicinity some reviewers automatically reject without scrutinizing a bit more thoroughly unfortunately.
It sucks and you may have to appeal or resubmit and hope you get better results.
Good luck.
What was your nomination? Some other things can fall under K-12 as well such as scout huts and places that have daycares attached.
Was K-12 the only rejection reason you received?
Any responses here are purely speculative. Can we get the coordinates of the subject and the pin information?
K-12 doesn't always mean a grade school. Niantic said to use it on summer camps that exist for children, or buildings that exist for children (like at a church: a youth building, or Scout hut).
So this is the location:
51.732181657922354, 0.42952023102347586
It is for local council sponsored art on each of the buildings in the area, every building has the logo and so it is a multi domicile submission
Interestingly I just went back to copy the full submission and the K-12 has disappeared to be replaced by URL markup
Probably because I was bad enough to provide a link to the council site describing the art installation in the SUPPORTING information.
PLEASE NOTE ANY URLs below do not appear in the final Wayspot and do not warrant rejection for URL content they are to help you evaluate the submission. Chelmsford City Council promotes Art in public places and in new development schemes as a great way to celebrate Chelmsford and strengthen local and cultural identity. I believe this will continue until the reviewing system rewards people equally for acceptances than rejections. It does I hear you cry, but it doesn't when more than 50% are rejected and those blindly rushing through to gather agreements will err on the side of rejection and make up whatever they think is the best reason
So I would appeal if that button was there, but I appealed an incorrect rejection in June which then went through and got approved, no sign of me having my appeal option back despite "winning"
Why is resubmitting when its not the original submission that is wrong but the reviewers appraisal of it seen as an acceptable way forward, I end up stopping submitting out of frustration for this very reason I have had over 100 wayspots approved, I think that 90% of my submissions I would just expect to go through there are maybe 10% where I am "testing the water" I think they would be good additions and are on the boundaries so lets see what the community thinks
You get a new appeal 30 days after you've submitted an appeal.
Additionally, when I looked at the coordinates you provided, the pin appears to be in the garden of a semidetached house (and I can't see any art there on street view). That's not K12 of course, but it would be PRP. Are you sure you provided the right coordinates? And is the map view up to date here?
If you follow link to Chelmsford website you will see it does refer to the new houses on this road. It describes them as
Description
Ceramic panels at the entrances of each of the ten new homes
There is also a picture of one.
On streetview the extension to the road is not covered. However once you know what you are looking for the plaques are there, next to the door on each house.
So they are definitely on Private Residential Property, so should be rejected.
it doesn’t matter that they are publicly funded and meant to be seen, they are automatic rejects.
Wayfarer will only show two rejection reasons at a time. You may have to reload many times to see all the reasons if there were a lot of them.
Yeah, I did look at that and initially still couldn't see them (well I saw them but I didn't realise that's what they were), but I see them now.
Sorry for the hassle @PitBullSX-ING! We've looked into the report and educated the reviewer. Thank you!
That's great news. I will also be posting some nonsense rejection reasons so you can also educate more reviewers.
What does "educated the reviewer" even imply? A warning that they are incorrectly reviewing nominations? Or actual tailored education to this case?
@NianticOtoStar
could you please clarify that the way stop was correctly rejected just for the wrong reason.
and did the feedback to the reviewer say they should have selected PRP as reject reason.
