Historic Plaque not accepted by Niantic Employee

I've recently submitted this historic Plaque and it immediately went into Niantic Voting. After what seems like a week it was rejected. No reason given. Anybody got any suggestions. These are somewhat common in Hamburg but readily accepted by the community.

I think that when something goes into Niantic Voting it's definitely no guarantee that your submission will somehow be reviewed at a higher standard than normal.
Quite a few recent posts have shown that in fact your submission in Niantic Voting may in fact be reviewed at a much lower standard than normal.
Unfortunately a Niantic review also gives you no help in understanding why your submission was reflected or how to improve it.
I wouldn't say that a plaque with 1961 is "historic", specially if those are fairly common as you've stated.
Sad to hear that. But thank you for your insight.
Plaques that show the year the building was built are "fairly common". Meaning there are some parts of the city that have quite a few and others where they are hardly ever found. The dates vary substantially as well. 1961 is one of the oldest I´ve seen in a while.
If it’s commonly accepted by local reviewers then resubmit and let your local reviewers decide. Niantic reviewers are not local; where I am from in the US this kind of mark on a building is very common and totally unworthy of wayspot acceptance, but Niantic guidelines are supposed to allow for local variances in acceptance (for example, pubs are readily accepted in the UK, while they are usually rejected in the US), so just give it to your community per the original intent of Wayfarer.
Then hope it doesn't get pulled into NV again...
I remembered that I came across a post, which unfortunately I can't seemed to find, might be related to the rejection,.
It's with regards to the size of the nominated object: if the size is too small and blends in well together with the surrounding, it could be rejected.
Not sure if this is the case for you, but that's the best of my knowledge. Hopefully someone with insight could help us on this 😊
Yes, I remember that being an AMA Q&A, and later incorporated into at least one of Niantic's many guidance pages.
