Trailmarker clarification... again
A node of the bicycle network. These look good to me as they are used to make a trail yourself.
This one showed up in my home town a short time ago. It's only a signpost towards node 60 in my province and there's many of them in the path to the connecting node. I also don't understand why someone would name it like this, because it'd now look like it's the node itself...
This is focused on the hexagon-shaped trailmarker (this one is for bicycling) and has many signs like this on the route.
Next up is this walking trial which is the same story as for the one above. The yellow sign has a big information post in the centre of each town it crosses.
~The big information post~
This 4-mile trial with the kilometres on it, so technically these are all different. This one was rejected by the community and accepted by niantic later on.
My biggest issue is in the 'visually unique' of the signposts for the walking/bicycling trails. I read a 'Criteria classification' from 13 August and I really want to know how to rate them and if I can possibly submit them myself when home. Even if @Niantic feels to clarify here that'll be greatly appreciated.

All of these are great wayspots. Yes, the title of the "Fietsroute Knooppunt - 60" is wrong, but that is probably because the submitter doesn't understand what they are submitting. Not a reason for rejection. Just subtract 1 or 2 stars from the title section when reviewing, and feel free to suggest a better title when you run into a pokestop like this.
So even if that'll mean there's a wayspot for the trail every 100 metres?
Yes
Mostly, Niantic approves of this.
It's a harder time convincing reviewers that each individual little sign is worthy and not a duplicate.
Personally, I tend to only nominate signs at "trailheads" or at branches, with a fairly generous definition of "branches". For example, there's a trail memorializing a historic journey that (in addition to some nicely wooded stretches) happens to pass through a now-very-urban stretch, and without those little 8" signs the trail can be VERY hard to follow. And so where those signs align with street intersections, having in-game wayspots makes the trail MUCH easier to walk.
But yes, even intermediate signage along the trails makes the journey that much more interesting. And I've seen that without having the extra motivation of those extra stops, many people will only DRIVE between the various endpoints. Having the extras DOES encourage more exercise, which is one of Niantic's stated goals for their menagerie of AR gaming.
As a bonus, my Ingress drone can now finally make the journey from my hometown all the way to another country! That does still require having a small number of portal keys, but as more such signage slowly gets added, the easier it is for others to accomplish the same feat!
I like the idea of finding and planning a route from where I was born to where I am now.
guess what, most of the trails here are not usable by cars.
if you now add the variable that there are still many many reviewers rejecting them, you will have an answer to why.
