Cupid's Span: Nice, wholesome. Fun for the whole family.
ママン though? It haunts my dreams.
seems fixed, got a normal local showcase now.
However, only one nomination in the showcase
Well, mine is showing two.
We got three new showcases just come out this morning! It seems to have gone back to normal... for now.
All of these were approved I believe just yesterday or just after midnight today (6 Jan, Australia time).
Can confirm I've got other wayspots showing now as well
i still have cupid's span....
Guess whos back
Back again
Cupids spans back

Mine actually fixed today, weird!
Mine is also broken again.
Hmmmm....
Thanks for the feedback y'all! Sharing it with the team.
Not sure if it's fixed for everyone, but mine are showing local showcase. It's even showcasing 3 Wayspots.
It came back once (but it's only a new wayspot that was created this week), but it's back.
Please create a showcase in the true sense of the word.
It's certainly a problem when Cupid's Span keeps showing up in a showcase.
However, this is more appropriate for a showcase in the original sense.
The current one is not a showcase at all.
Most of the time it shows only "new wayspot of the week" quality wayspots.
There were very few candidates with an overall rating higher than a 4.0, and as a result, the nominators and judges' ability to find POIs was compromised by seeing showcases with only that quality.
Solving this problem is of course important.
But please rethink your showcase fundamentally.
Show wayspots that are culturally unique, with great descriptions, where the overall rating is at least 4.0 and the judging scores are not split between 1 and 5 stars.
If you can't do that, you should change the name to "New wayspot of the week" instead of the conflicting name of showcase.
I've been having and still having Cupid's Span and ママン since issue surfaced.
So, looks like not fixed yet.
Please create a true showcase. Rather than showing newly approved mediocre local wayspots.
I don't know if anyone else is experiencing it, but it seems fixed (for a second time) for me.
Featured showcases updated within the last hour, and I have gone back to having Cupid's Span.
I am in Bunbury, Western Australia, and I have had nine Wayspots accepted here in this town over the last week. How can there not be any Wayspots eligible for selection here?
Its fixed for me, too.
Also, its the first time something from my city is in the showcase.
So Niantic definitely made some changes.
Seems fixed for me with 2 local wayspots, first time from this city, and both my submission. :)
Cupid's Span has suddenly reappeared for me. Just when I thought everything was working fine again...
Had Cupid's Span and the icky spider one about a week ago
I'm back to having Cupid's Span and spider. Started few days ago and still having them.
I'm sure Cupid's Span will come back to me.
But as I told you before, that is correct from the original meaning of the showcase.
I think better looking at a Cupid's Span than I do looking at a NEW WAYSPOT THIS WEEK that is not of high quality.
If you think of this in terms of a technical issue, it is probably a matter of the scope of what is called a CELL.
So I think this occurs in areas where there are not that many nominations or high quality nominations from Wayfinder.
If it can be done, I feel that introducing wayspot with high ratings per cell equivalent to upgrade (per country/region) would solve the problem.
Still, I believe that if the rating points are below a certain level, a cupid span will appear, but that can only be solved by us, Wayfinder, making good nominations, as that would be the flip side of the country/region nominations being poor.
