Guidelines are left open for personal interpretation and a response from Niantic confirmed this. They say the reason for this is they want the players to be in total control and make the game the way they want the game to be as they are the perfect people to do so. I for one think it is time the way players review was changed and make it in an easy format like tick boxes does the discription match the image, is the image noticeable then have boxes for pitch black blurry etc.
Es importante @NianticCasey-ING estar presto para las revisiones apropiada de la comunidad que esta pendiente día a día para mejorar el panorama y sumarnos muchos mas en aportar .
I play Pokemon GO and Ingress Prime but can only nominate and review in Pokemon GO. Like the other person, I play mainly Pokemon GO. I do play Ingress to increase my level. I know of 2 or 3 Portals near me that are not in Pokemon GO. Luckily, none have been nominated to my knowledge. I use Ingress before I nominate to be sure. Many people just assume that the PokeStops and Gyms existed without thinking how. I have reviewed more than 2,000 nominations and many duplicates. Ignorance is an excuse once. However, I see people taking a picture of some thing and placing the marker in another location too. I stay calm when I review. I have seen many people nominate the same thing knowing and unknowingly. I do not enjoy creating a duplicate when the person types do that.
I'm of the opinion that every 10 feet could/should be a pokèstop. One of the guidelines is "a place to meet", you can meet anywhere. It seems that this process is more about exerting elitist authoritarian dominance and not helping players enjoy the game. I can't/won't tell you about how many bars/taverns are pokèstops in my town, but I have to jump through hoops to nominate a kindermusic center or a new church down the street from me so that more players can enjoy the game more. Is this process designed to limit our enjoyment?
hi haw are you I summit around 40 pokestop around 1 month still not created please halp me to create some pokestop around because we are not enjoy this game please halp me created
It can take between a few days and a few years for a particular nomination to pass through the voting system. It depends partly on where your nomination is and partly on how many people are actually reviewing in that area.
Hi all, new here. I only play Pokemon Go (have had an Ingress account, but not my thing) I've read the criteria for judging new wayspots and all the discussions around them.
How are we supposed to get some good spots, when there are so many different people judging? My spots keep getting rejected and i don't know why. It's not that we have a zillion around here, or that they are s. tupid ones (a nice small neighbourhood forest fe, a public playground (yes, next to a school, obviously, since that way the kids know where it is), a little public library (see other post).
Furthermore, there is never any explanation for the rejections, while i always explain why i make the decision to reject a contribution. The system seems quite unfair to me that way.
Also, i keep telling Niantic, that they need to remove a stop, since the whole building (a school!) has been demolished, so there is nothing to see. They keep rejecting that too. HOW? WHY?
If you log on to Wayfarer, you’ll see the reject reasons under your Contributions.
On lots of people reviewing, that’s kind of the point? If it was only locals reviewing, they’d approve some things that just aren’t eligible. Your nomination really needs to be able to sell itself to everyone who might come across it
You can post your rejected ones under “Nomination Improvement” and others will be able to see if they’re eligible or how you might get them accepted in re-submissions.
Regarding the school/knocked down building you want to remove, check Invalid Wayspot Appeals, and it will ask for additional info there and Niantic will take another look.
Thanks @PkmnTrainerJ-ING , but alas "If you log on to Wayfarer, you’ll see the reject reasons under your Contributions." The only thing i see, is my contributions, and that they are rejected, or in voting-phase, or in the waiting line. Nothing more. Cannot click on them, there aren't any other buttons, nothing.
I'l go to Invalid Wayspot appeals to get that school removed.
Hi Ladyfoil, from what you have typed here I can help you with some insight as to why the submissions were rejected. The playground by the school, is well.. by a school. Which is supposed to be rejected. Little free libraries that are on private residences are.. on private residence, so again get rejected. The first one, the forest, unless you can justify how it meets one of the three requirements for a stop, will also be rejected for being a natural feature. All three of these things you should have learned during the "training" and test. The forest could be accepted, if it has a trail marker, or park sign post, but I recommend you take some time reading all the AMA on this forum, as well as the list of what makes for a good stop and a bad stop. I've added 18 stops to my little town, we went from 2 gyms to 10 and just over 30 stops. You can do it!
Hi. I was told you play in eSwatini. Is that correct? I'm a member of a group trying to help out in pokestop poor areas, and we are discussing eSwatini as a new effort in a while.
Hi @TryAndKeepUpPlz-PGO , it's a few weeks now, and i have been reviewing a lot. Unfortunatly, i get low rates, and i have o clue how i can get that better. I have done the instruction again (and passed with good grades) and i have looked into a lot of questionnable nominations and i have changes my view on for example trail markers (used to reject them as no POI, but they are allowed so i now give them all a 2* unles they are really special or the path is extra beautiful) or fountains. I write in every rejection what my reason is (picture too generic, commercial, no poi, that kind of things) but the rate gets lower and lower. Do you have any tips for me? Should i accept everything? Or do i accept too much and should i reject a lot more? Is it the star ranking that is killing me? (i give two stars if the text has spelling mistakes or is just a few words, also, if the picture needs adjusting, i give two or three stars.) Am i too strict? Too loose? Any tips are welcome.
5* ? Insane. I never give 5 stars, unless the way spot is very interesting and should be seen no matter what. We could give everything around us 5 stars in order to get stops, but that isn't very useful in my opinion. Also, a lot of pictures are really bad, with too much of the backgroudn, dark, not upright, with shadows. We should be selective says the instruction.
Think about this, though, giving 3 or 4 stars just makes the nomination stay in voting longer, and ultimately it will still be accepted. It really doesn’t matter if you give 4 or 5 stars it’s still an acceptance.
Niantic of couse doesn't say, but 1* or even possibly 2* stars in some categories can cause rejections of the overall nomination even if you didn't intend it. I would try using 3* for "meh, but basically eligible" and save 1* or 2* for things you want to reject.
Also, the picture rejections are supposed to be for unrecognizable images, not merely bad images. The picture can be edited by players who are better photographers after the wayspot is accepted.
It sounds to me like you are rejecting far more nominations than the rest of your community, possibly unintentionally. You will need to be more generous with your stars if you want to improve your rating. If you can't bring yourself to do that in principle, you'll just have to accept a lower rating.

Frankly speaking I don't understand why hara ss and sta lk would be censored and made into *.
And cameras can't s.hoot. A lot of topics related to t.huggery and v.iolence are also c.ensored, even ones with innocent s.ynonyms.

Hi, how do I find out why my account seems to be paused from reviewing please? It didn't mention cool down anywhere and still doesn't? Thanks.
yeeaaa, das ist genau die frage, die mir auch schon die ganze zeit stellt. 🤨🤔

Well if you really mean that, you can start by not posting expletives...

If you tap on to a nomination, you should then see more details, including the reject reasons
@Ladyfoil-PGO Did you take the Wafarer test? Maybe you can only see details after passing the test.
Well, no? Thanks for mentioning, i'll go and look for it.
try it bro 😉👌🏻 good luck
I've searched around, but i'm sure i have taken the test, since it is required to do so before being able to make any reviews.
Fortunately, there have been some adjustments, so now i see some clarification about the rejection, and i am able to resubmit a better one.
The appeal about the stop is posted, no reply yet however.

Trailmarkers as 2* is probably letting you down. Many rate them highly (especially if named trail) as they promote exercise and exploration
5* ? Insane. I never give 5 stars, unless the way spot is very interesting and should be seen no matter what. I didn’t say 5*, I rarely give 5* on anything. But 2 is very low for a trailmarker.
Think about this, though, giving 3 or 4 stars just makes the nomination stay in voting longer, and ultimately it will still be accepted. It really doesn’t matter if you give 4 or 5 stars it’s still an acceptance.
