Niantic no longer accepted shopping mall/ plaza as wayspot

In the previous clarification Niantic stated that str!p malls are eligible to be wayspots because they are good place for social. As not as the nomination is:
- A conclusive visual indicator of the whole shopping place
- Having multiple shops in it
Yet, my recent nomination was automatically selected to be reviewed by Niantic, and they rejected it.
It is a visual indicator of the whole shopping place, and having restaurants, cafe, retail shop, convinces shop. It supposed to fulfill Niantic’s previous criteria, but it no longer available.
I acknowledge that str!p mall seems to be generic. The reason I submitted it is because I have no idea they withdraw that eligible criteria.
By the way, I can’t type supporting information in my nomination because it instantly went to in voting by Niantic.

You still have to show it's a great place to be social (or explore, but that would be less likely). With Niantic taking it too quickly, you obviously didn't get a chance to do that so they likely just rejected based on the generic shopping center sign. There's a thread somewhere in the General Discussion section about Niantic taking nominations too quickly if you want to add your complaint there. They also could have rejected it for typos in the description, but I would hope they aren't *that* harsh about a single typo.
I'm sure many others will dissect this "plaza" apart, but foremost is that Niantic reviewing is NOT an indicator of eligibility. Too many parks, trail markers, dining hot spots, and other high quality candidates are rejected by them while places like a Wal-Mart video department, Starbucks, and generic convenience stores are approved. They make mistakes, maybe even more than the reviewer community.
Do not let a Niantic rejection convince you that something is ineligible.
I've never heard of a shopping center mall being eligible and I've only seen one in-game that was in Florida near Cocoa Beach. It's the wild west in the panhandle state. I reject every shopping center mall entrance sign that comes across my review page.

They can be but in my opinion many aren't.
Large shopping centers or malls are cultural hubs. Even outlet stores can likened to a tourist destination - people flock hours away on the weekends for discounts and specials. Even if it's just for shopping, shopping is still a popular passtime and activity.
Some strıp malls contain outdoor plazas that might just not be visually unique or interesting enough on their own. Businesses, too. A "Dairy Queen," for instance, should rarely be eligible but there's a plaza / strịp mall near me that I would consider quite eligible even though the DQ is the only real point of interest. In such cases I would say the plaza or strïp mall sign should be adequate.
Similarly, there's one near me that's "just" an oil change, cash advance, and phone repair. I would not consider that to be eligible.
I personally dislike these "clarifications" and think they only lead to more confusion and dissent, but it's been clarified thrice by a Niantic mod that they certainly can be eligible.

The most updated clarification on strīp mall is here
To misquote a well known line:
"Does this look like a Plaza!!"
Whenever the next AMA happens, I feel that shopping center signs and mall directory signs should be discussed.
