How long does it take once "In Voting?"

As the title says. I have several spots currently "in voting" that I submitted on the 18th. We have a large influx of kids into our development from all the home buying/swapping and we've no stops or gyms but plenty of people playing. My son asked me this morning (since he went and told his friends) if my submissions were voted on yet. Thanks for any help!

There is no fixed number of days. It depends on your area and how many people are reviewing. Sometimes it is just a few days. Some wayfinders have had nominations "in voting" for over 2 years.
You can review nominations to earn an upgrade, which will help your nomination receive a decision faster. See the Wayfarer FAQ for more info.
Locally for me it takes 12-24 months without an upgrade.
I recently nominated a few things not locally that went into voting and decided upon within 2-3 weeks, although they were pretty rural.
An upgraded submission generally goes into voting within 2-5 days for me and is decided upon within a day or two irrespective of where it is.
Ask around your local area to get feel for the local rate.
a key factor is if you have areas close by that have a high density of pokestops…… that is likely to slow things down.
Just had one take 2 days from submission to acceptance, with no upgrade. I am shook, it's normally 3-4 months+ from submission to decision where I live. I'm on holiday in a waypoint rich area but judging by the photos Vs how the stuff looks they are not recent additions.
Not showing in ingress or pogo though, but one I had go in 2 days ago nominated about a month ago and upgraded 2 days ago isn't showing in ingress either and I've not been there to see if it has in pogo.
Hopefully you submitted eligible nominations and not some "home" POI on PRP that's not eligible. I often see nominations like a street light or a statue in a persons house with a description of "kids need Pokestops to spin". Clear rubber stamp denials. So hopefully you nominated good things like a tennis court, volleyball court, pavilion, gazebo, playground, LFL, community fountain in the neighborhood or surrounding area.
My upgraded nom has been in voting for over a month.
If you still have any "In queue" you can do reviews to earn upgrades. Upgraded submissions usually go through pretty quickly. I'd say less than a week, but there's always a random outlier with bad luck.
When your nomination goes into voting, it can takes months or even years to get accepted. If you want your nominations to be accepted relatively fast, please start reviewing and earning upgrades. Upgrading your nominations will get a decision to be reach on your nomination much quicker than normal.
was a neighborhood swimming pool, a playground and basketball/tennis courts, all open to the general public and easily accessible.
thanks everyone for the answers. sadly it doesnt sound the nominations will get voted on any time soon. been trying to get upgrades but i cant say as im impressed with the way this setup works (not that im blaming anyone.)
thanks again
Couple of things.
Make sure everything you submit can be seen easily on Google streetview - if it’s not obvious make a photosphere using The streetview app. It’s not too late especially if it is in the slow stream.
Don’t stop looking for interesting points you can submit.
if you are having problems getting to grip with reviewing do ask questions and people will try to help.
Sounds like great nominations. I'd add the tennis and basketball courts should be separate nominations instead of the same nomination in the event you submitted it as one. Ideally, the pins would be on the courts border and in their own S2 Level 17 cells. IITC is a great way to help with pin placement so it's both accurate and will show in-game.
If you spend 10-15 minutes a day reviewing, the upgrades should roll in fairly quickly. I've done 10,000+ reviews and have earned 85 upgrades so far. Anything upgraded goes through really fast (from a few hours to a few days for me).
If your nominations are "In Voting" that means they are being voted on currently. However, it takes multiple reviewers to give good ratings and it takes time. My nominations tend to go through in 2-4 months without an upgrade. Some faster and some slower.
Niantic says pools in a neighborhood, apartment, or hotel are not valid. Places that only allow residents and maybe their guest.
These places don't always have a lifeguard, or even an attendant to make sure safety rules are followed, like keeping the gate closed. Niantic's lawyers and insurance don't want them taking the liability of leading unauthorized people there.
Except Giffard recently clarified that neighborhood pools are fine. From your list only hotels and apartments are excluded: https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/discussion/comment/167632#Comment_167632
I feel like reviewing other nominations makes it a bit faster to get yours reviewed by others simply because u "keep the wheel spinning".
soon a year for me stuck in voting.... live in a semi big city 350k... this isnt normal..
For us it has usually taken 1-3 Months. But we have issues with 1 Spot beeing accepted even though it is withing com. guidlines
I never recommend submitting swimming pools because of the confusing language around their eligibility. Hoping to get clarifications on that. But the Nov 2020 AMA says "swimming pools at private residences or hotels (or other similar residentially-focused locations) are ineligible" so I will submit other things designed for the purpose of facilitating being social, like gazebos, pavilions, and pergolas. Hoping they will readdress this soon, but not holding my breath.
You should also know that the submission prompts are badly worded in Pokemon Go - and Ingress, too, for that matter. You don't submit a poke stop, you submit a Wayspot. Nothing worse than waiting all this time for your nomination to be decided on, get it approved, and then it doesn't show in game. Niantic has never to my knowledge released the rules they use to choose which Wayspots will be used in Pokemon Go, but you can search for articles about theories that seem to hold true. Like this one: https://pokemongohub.net/post/article/comprehensive-guide-s2-cells-pokemon-go/
Good luck and have fun exploring! Once you get the basics down, it's as much fun to wayfare as to play the other games.
going for 3rd year in voting here. got to be really patient
I upgraded a nomination on July 29 and it is still stuck in voting.
I think they should get out there the info for voting and how to vote for other people there app don't work and its new I hope one day it will work and I can login with Facebook and google .. The thing is thou I think teaching people about voting and logging in on web is bwsr way vote I voted 500 plus's so hope I helped
I reviewed over 300 submissions to get a feel for it before starting to submit my own last week. Here is the current breakdown on Day 6 of the experiment using everything I've learned here as a reviewer:
Wayspots submitted over the first 5 days: 33
In Queue: 11
In Voting: 4
Accepted: 10
Upgrades Used: 1
Gyms successfully created in desired locations: 2
Gyms created in undesired location due to weekend sync: 1
On Hold: 8
Rejection/Duplicate: 0
Strangely enough, the one upgrade I did use on the first day's submission, actually caused it to be delayed and not go into voting until all the other submissions on that day had been voted on and approved.
Reviewers in my area seem to be processing 2-3 submissions per day, with in voting taking 1-2 days to complete. Prior to my submissions the area density was approximately 272 pokestops and 114 gyms within a 5 mile radius.
This is all just anecdotal evidence, but hopefuly it helps.
