Low photo quality?

Just learned that this nomination was rejected. No big deal. I doubt I'll give it a new try.
But low photo quality?
Might be the supporting photo which I took to show the view from the parking lot. Will add a screenshot of that one too.
Well well, it was just a nice spot with a trail marker. I am very happy with the two nominations approved so far.
(As I use to work as freelance photographer, low photo quality hurts 😂 even if it is from my cellphone)

If the little blue symbol at the top is the marker for the trail then I can’t see any detail to check what it is. So I would focus on a new photo with that dominating……on the otherhand maybe that’s not what it is 🤷♀️
"Other Rejection Criteria" means reviewers don't think it's a "great place to explore, exercise, or socialize". So, probably, a fair number of reviewers didn't believe it was a trail marker, or there were already too many markers close together in the area, or your submission is in a country where reviewers just don't like trail markers.
As @Elijustrying-ING said, focus your photo on the blue symbol at the top if that has the trail name. Leave out the background. If you want a nicer photo than just the sign, you can do a photo edit after it's accepted. That will fix the problem if reviewers aren't sure it's a trail marker. If it still doesn't pass, you can try it without an upgrade. Voters in the city may not appreciate trails as much as local reviewers.
That's a gorgeous photo. I hope you can get it accepted.
It's absurd if the reason is that reviewers don't want to click on your picture to get a closer look.
I often get trail markers that don't show the trail name as close as they could but there as much onus on me as a reviewer to look a little closer.
I would put it down to sloppy, lazy reviewing as opposed to a bad submission.
i would mostly agree but when I zoom in on this I can see what I assume are words- can’t **** any letters, the symbol above looks a bit like a snowflake if I had to guess.
It is a nice picture but in terms of letting the reviewer see that it is a trail it’s not so essy
That’s a great picture, ignore anybody who says otherwise.
You wouldn't have to zoom in if reviewing though?
After a simple click
The majority os people seem to review on a phone, so tiny details on a tiny screen are very hard to see.
I can’t tell for certain as it’s a screenshot that’s been posted but if something looks very blurry initial the click doesn’t help that often. 🤔
What you can do is keep the nice photo you had as the main as it shows location context and use the supplementary photo for a close up of the marker.
Yes, submit it as a clear close-up. Once approved, submit your original photo to it. And others, if you like. See which crops best in your game, and give it a thumbs up to become primary.
