Ingress Portal Contributions - Upload Failed

So over the weekend I was in an area with sometimes spotty service submitting some new portal contributions in Ingress. As I didn't want to wait for the uploads at that moment, I chose the upload later option for all of them, a total of eight.
Now home today, I am attempting to upload. However, whether uploading all of them at the same time or one at a time, the game simply says "Upload Failed".
Anyone have a clue on how to resolve this? I tried both on Wi-Fi and on mobile data.

As long as you can see them on your profile, there is hope!
Try uploading one at a place with good wifi AND cell tower coverage. If it fails, flip your wifi on/off switch and try again. Once you get that one thru, proceed to the next one.
I had the same thing happen. Hoping for an app update, since one of those uploads was for a submission I traveled some distance to submit. I do know that reinstalling the app will erase everything, so nope not gonna do that.
Forgot to mention - I tried both Upload All, and then going into Manage to upload things individually. Each attempt fails immediately despite other connectivity functions working just fine. I really think this is an app-specific error on the Niantic side.
This error is also new to me too since the update with the new map, except it's for scans. No matter what I do, retry, refresh or even reboot the phone, it still says "upload failed" for scans. I could imagine it is the same process as for nominations. I'm guessing the app stored corrupted data and can no longer be uploaded. I deleted the scans, so I'll have to go back another time.
Just opened a bug report on the Ingress forums, since it seems to be an app problem involving multiple agents.
I saved one nomination for upload later. Now I want to upload it and it fails every time...
Is that through Pokemon Go, or through Ingress?

If in Pokemon Go, that's a whole different Pandora's Box - if Upload Later is failing in both apps, then the problem may be with Lightship itself and may require a bug report here as well!
