Wayspot was removed, it's on a communal land, you can touch it, the pedestrian access is safe, and it still there. There are no valid reason to removed this Wayspot.

The streer view is old but the posted picture is from today.
Can you have another look and if the removal was abusive take sanctions against the culprit.

You know that it's Niantic who press the "delete" button? So they're the culprit... Funny when we read your posts with false information where you claim objects on your own pictures don't exist, we're still wondering who's trying to fool Niantic.
Where is the fake information? You are a pro for doing this on Google maps.
Do you have any input or insights about this portal? If yes you are welcome to comment otherwise go pollute someone else thread.
I'm talking about your appeals about a devil statue shown on your picture or the University building without any university activy you reported and appealed too...
About this appeal, I don't know the place but based on your pictures I can't see any sidewalks. The yellow lines on the street represent a bus stop, so I guess it's assumed it's a safe place for pedestrians in a small village, but I can't see any sidewalks, so not sure if NIA Ops will restore this wayspot.
Look carefully there is a sidewalk (not a concreted one) and I step on it while taking the video.
the green belt is not a path. niantic changed the rules, and today that can't be accepted
Yo walk in the middle of the street to reach the "sidewalk"... Not very safe I think...
Like every side walk you need to cross a street to get there.
In this case you can park safely and walk to the cross, or walk from the hiking/bike trail that come behind the Cross.
Also it's much safer than you capturing a portal while driving you bike in a busy roundabout in Paris.
Can you be more specific? A link to this rules changing? Here the green "belt" is only for pedestrian. In villages nearby most of the concrete sidewalk were transformed into grass sidewalk.

Thanks for your link and reply.
In this case it's clearly a sidewalk as you have the gutter for the rain that separate it from the road. What can be confusing is the grassy area, but here the grass is used as the same as concrete in cities.

If look at the street view from 2012 or 2011, the side walk was also used to reach the phone cabin.
Thanks for the appeal, @Fronsac-ING! We have taken another look but stand by our decision to retire this Wayspot.
