Pokestop Acceptance

I have a Pokestop that says that it has been accepted, but it doesn't show which nomination, and it has been weeks and nothing has come in game. The area that I submitted has no other stops or gyms around and the building that I have been submitting them is outlined in the game so pogo knows the building is in the game. Just wondering why there is such a delay. I have missed a lot of weekly rewards because there is no stops in the area.

Firstly, have you had an email to state that it has been accepted?
Secondly, is the area that’s in, a new development of houses or a previous private business such as a shopping centre etc.?
The latter may not be updated in OpenStreetMaps yet where the data is pulled from for what’s what on the maps. Niantic don’t pull recent data either so it may be a few years before it is no longer marked as something like “wasteland” where there cannot be any Wayspots. Also possible is a geo-block, where Niantic is asked by a park owner or similar to not allow any Wayspots to appear (think back to when there would be swarms of Pokémon GO players in some locations or the Holocaust Museum stories at the start of the game) and then they won’t appear on Pokémon GO, even if they exist.
Another option is to download Ingress and see if it exists on that game.
'Nominations Accepted' in your profile page denotes how many agreements you've reviewed nominations as eligible and they're accepted—not your nominations you've submitted.
Try to earn more agreements from reviewing, for every 100 agreements you can earn an Upgrade which you can use to 'speed up' your nominations to reach their final decision.
Same to me. Submitted two pokestops, accepted but they said it may not appear at this game but at other places. What is the point appear at other game since I'm playing this game ?! Disappointed.
That’s because you’re not submitting a PokéStop. You’re submitting a Wayspot which can be used however Niantic see fit.
Hello and welcome @GregG19-PGO
The profile page you have sent as screenshot is all about what has happened with the contributions you have reviewed and is not about the potential new places you have submitted.
To see what is happening to the places you submit go to the 3 bars in the top left as shown in that screenshot and look at contributions.
There are different statuses.
In queue means it is waiting for a place to be available in the pool of places that the community reviews to see if it is acceptable.
In voting means that it is in the pool of places that are being reviewed.
The amount of time at in queue or in voting varies enormously. It can be a few days in queue and a few days in voting. It can be months or it can be years. The variation in time depends on a number of factors dependent on your location and active submitters and reviewers.
So nothing you have said is unusual. Ask around and see how long other people are reporting locally.
Hello and Welcome @CoalaIce-PGO
If you have had acceptance emails and it’s over 48 hours, can you post the location ( eg coordinates) and name of the wayspot and we can check.
The underlying issue is that Niantic have not explained what happens and as a result like many others you do not understand.
Although the impression you are given when you submit something via Pokémon Go is that you are submitting to be a pokestop, the reality is that you are submitting something with the potential to be a pokestop.
Once your nomination is approved, it is accepted into the Lightship database - this holds all approved wayspots and is separate from all Niantic games. Your accepted wayspot will be there. That is the end point of wayfarer, and what happens next is not related to wayfarer.
Each game sets its own rules as to what it will take from the database to use in that particular game.
For Pokémon Go the rules revolve around the use of some mapping software commonly referred to as S2 cells it breaks down the surface into smaller and smaller cells - each size is referred to as level and a number.
Google: S2 cells and Pokémon Go - Pokémongohub has a very good explanation.
The key is that in PoGo it only accepts 1 wayspot in each Level 17 cell, so if there is already a pokestop or gym in the game in that cell, yours will not be selected to enter Pokémon Go.
In most cases where an accepted point does not appear this is what has happened and if you provide the info about the wayspot we can check.
Yes it is frustrating, but this down to Niantic and poor communication.
I'm not sure what is all this about. But i just follow the instructions fr the game to submit the pokestop application. Tts all i know.
Can i know how to post the locations?

The game doesn’t explain it well, let me find the thing.
You’re not nominating PokéStops, you’re nominating Wayspots that go into a variety of games (or not).
To quote the acceptance email;
Remember that not all accepted nominations will appear in all Niantic games (and may take up to 48 hours to appear)
Also note that by submitting a Wayspot/Portal/PokéStop you’re agreeing that it can be used by other Niantic games. The below says Portal as the Pokémon GO one isn’t working.
Note About User-Submitted Content and Ownership
When you submit a Portal nomination to Niantic, we don’t claim ownership of that content. You still retain your rights to the content as the creator, but you do grant Niantic a license to use the content in any way we see fit. This means, for example, that we have your permission to use the Portal images and descriptions to create new in-game locations in Ingress, but we also have your permission to use them to create locations across different games. This is just a brief summary of how we use user-submitted content. For the full details, please review the Niantic Terms of Service.
The Wayspot you nominated may appear in other games, if it’s been more than 48 hours since approval and it’s not shown up in Pokémon GO, it won’t show up in Pokémon GO.
I'm not sure what is all this about. But i just follow the instructions fr the game to submit the pokestop application & some pokestop quite near to each other i din see any problem also. Tts all i know.
& many of pokestop quite near to each other i din see any problem also.
Niantic do a p••• poor job of explaining but even though it says “New PokéStop” you’re actually nominating a “New Wayspot” which may not even appear in the game you submit it in.
When you get a nomination approved it’s added to Niantic’s database (called Lightship). From there, the games (Pokémon GO & Ingress Prime are the main ones so I’ll use them) sync from this database at a certain time daily.
For your new accepted nomination, some checks are done;
You may see some very close PokéStops either due to them being on the edge of cell lines, or due to past abusive location edits.
@GregG19-PGO
Could you please attach a screenshot of Niantic Wayfarer's My Page "Posts"?
Even if you "accept" a post, it will not become a Wayspot unless it is "approved" by the community.
"Nominations Accepted" in your profile screenshot are nominations that you have reviewed and approved, and do not mean that your submission has been approved.
You will receive an email when your application is approved, and even if your application is rejected, you will be able to know the reason for the rejection from the "Submissions" section of your My Page.
I’ll also note to the above, that if it is not in the games you play and you re-nominate it, it will be marked as a duplicate as it is already in the aforementioned database.
When you submit an place, you are NOT submiting a Pokestop, you are submitting something that could be a Pokestop or a Portal or a Big flower, it all depends on what game Niantic chooses to use the Wayspot in if they use it at all.
@PkmnTrainerJ-ING
I think @GregG19-PGO misunderstood the Agreement "Nominations Accepted" in his profile section as "my post was approved".
I think it would be better to have a discussion as soon as the current status of his post becomes clear.
He may just be confused.
Yes. I misunderstood @GregG19-PGO ’s initial post. @CoalaIce-PGO has also come to this thread with a different issue, so trying to help them also.
Nvm i gv up.
Exactly my thoughts when I went to look at the multitude of things that people have been asking to be implemented for a long time.
Or this basic information about s2 cells and wayfarer nominations can be put into the test.
Noor elsabah roundabout & chickana restaurants , both nominations were accepted
the first one (noor elsabah )is shown as a pokestop but the second did not appear.
can anyone explain ?
I'm not sure what is all this about. But i just follow the instructions fr the game to submit the pokestop application. Tts all i know.

Wayspot maps already have compartments (S2 cells).
Only one Wayspot from the smallest S2 cell is displayed as a PokéStop.
In other words, if your Wayspot is approved but it doesn't show up on your PokéStop, it's likely that your S2 cell is already filled.
In Pokemon GO, the S2 cell determines the number of gyms, so it's a good idea to take this opportunity to familiarize yourself with it.
Information on S2 cells can be easily found with an internet search.
@82quuu-PGO you mean that at the second image the two wayspots shaimaa clock and chickana restaurant may be found together one cell and that is why chickana did not appear as a pokestop ?
It is. Though I didn't use IITC.
I don’t know how to use iitc, tried many times but can’t add the s2 script to the application.
what do you use for reference ?
If you want to understand why some of your submissions turn into Pokestops and some don't, you're going to have to do some research beyond the instructions given to you in the game.
People in the thread have been giving you some good basic information. But it's all useless if you're unwilling to learn.
@CoalaIce-PGO
Sorry if there is too much information being posted.
You are right. A player should be able to follow in game instructions to reach an end goal.
However, this is Niantic, and communication in general and instructions in particular are great weaknesses.
It is disappointing and frustrating. I assume your post is partly about expressing those feelings, in the hope Niantic might listen.
If you also want to try and some other possible points we will be glad to help ( because we are fellow game players and not Niantic 😎).
The help we can provide will not solve everything but will make it less frustrating. Just come back here and ask when you need it.
Good Luck
Wayfarer is not where the decision on the gameboard rules is made, that is up to each individual game themselves. So the s2 cell rules specific to pogo won't be added to the wayfarer test.
