Reviewer States “Not culturally or historically significant” on Multiple Nominations

I’ve had multiple nominations rejected with the reviewer typing “not historically or culturally significant” on ones that include footbridges, place names and plazas (non shopping), things that normally do get approved.
The Bradford Street sign I did appeal but it did have the same response.
I’m confused because I thought there is more criteria for acceptance than historical or cultural significance, like encouraging exercise and exploration.
it’s more annoying that it’s multiple nominations with text that seems to be copied and pasted each time so same reviewer doing it.

I think you're misunderstanding the rejection text. All of the responses you see are automated messaged coming from the Niantic system, not copy & pasted by an individual reviewer. It takes multiple people rejecting your nominations to trigger it to be rejected.
"Not culturally significant" tends to appear when some reviewers have also duplicated your submission, but not enough to actually trigger the rejection. For your plaza, is the Gazebo already a Wayspot? With the gazebo in the photo I would expect folks to duplicate that. With the footbridge, I found that trail system and there are several other nearly identical footbridges that could have been duplicated to, especially if this one is not visible on Satellite (I couldn't find it). Similar with the playground sign - if the playground exists, many would duplicate it to the playground since the signage is rarely eligible in addition to the object unless it is a far enough distance away.
Thanks for the appeal, @HauntedResearch-PGO! We're not currently reviewing PokéStop submissions. Please resubmit the nomination by improving its title/description if you feel that it was a valid nomination.
@NianticOtoStar How about habitat submissions? Are you reviewing those currently?
Please optimize your time by looking at abandoned appeals sent 6+ months ago and not on random threads in Criteria Clarification/Nomination Improvements section. Unless you would like to give any uncanned explanations.
Are you asking if a sign marking a wildlife habitat is a valid wayspot? Depends if it's inviting people in to explore, or if it's trying to keep people out so wildlife can thrive.
Maybe you should review this: https://wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/new/criteria/eligibility
No, I’m asking if they are reviewing nominations for new peridot habitats.
I'm sure it bodes well for the long-term health of peridot that when its term for waypoints comes up on the wayfarer forum nobody recognizes it. We can all trust Niantic will let it have all the time it needs to grow slowly instead of canning it the moment it becomes clear it won't be another pokemon go.
They really need to hunker down and start with their backlog.
