What kinds of bridges are eligible to be accepted?

There is a bridge in my area that used to be a draw bridge lifted up for small boats. It's no longer in use a draw bridge and now only serves as a way to get to another part of town. It's a medium to small sized bridge. It doesn't have a sign and that's the only thing that makes me think it might be hard to get accepted. What are your thoughts on chances of it being accepted?

Does it still traffic vehicles or is it only for pedestrian use? Is it even accessible for pedestrians?
"Old" does not necessarily mean "historic" but is sounds like yours at least has a fun story and potentially unique architecture?
It isn't strictly ineligible (or eligible) but what connection can you make about how it helps people explore?
Vehicles do pass over it. There is a foot bridge area but it's only a side area with a side walk, no separation making it a foot bridge. I think it might actually be historic but no plaque or sign or anything. It helps people now to get from one side of town to the other(people have to pass over it to get out here to the more rural part of town) so I guess that might be part of the exploration. I'll have to research it a bit more.
I was able to to screen shot a view of the area. The indentation in the road is where the bridge used to be raised up for small boats. The "foot bridge" with the side walk part is also visible.
I personally wouldn't go with this angle for a nomination, just trying to show it a bit so people can see what I'm talking about.
That may be pretty tough to get through.
Without sounding nosey... :D
What about all those churches in Harlem? There's also nearby Memorial Gardens that look interesting?
Is Sugarland Park exclusively used by the local schools?
@The26thDoctor-PGO I would love to go out to Harlem and nominate things out there as there is nothing there but one PokeStop. I am limited to on foot travel rn because I don't have a vehicle and it's too far for me to travel. I push my twins 3 year old daughters around the neighborhood lol. My husband will not take me around to take pictures of things to nominate because he finds it awkward lol I'm not sure which park you mean right off hand. I would have to look for it's exact location. I don't think so though because none of the schools have parks named on the map.

Ah, no worries. Children do consume time and energy :)
This is Sugarlands Park I think? I wasn't sure if it was connected to the high school or not. It does have a few things but also looks like more could be added?
This is how Harlem looks at the moment. I noticed the churches and Memorial Gardens were not added. Maybe if you get some free time to yourself, I know it seems implausible :D
Do keep asking questions. This thread would be a useful read for anyone who is new to see the sort of things to consider.
if you wanted to, could you screen shot a map with a rough outline of the area that is easily explored by you? It might help narrow down our virtual tourism.😂😎
Good to see you're looking around for wayspots. And good suggestions here!
To qualify, a wayspot needs to meet at least one of the three criteria: explore, socialize, exercise: https://wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/new/criteria/eligibility One way to think of it is: If someone visited from out-of-town, might I take them to see this thing? (Imagine your visiting friend loves art, or studies theology, or is an exercise nut.)
Unfortunately, that bridge is common, generic - just not a destination for anybody. And it isn't part of a marked trail for exercise.
