Scan task for gym that no longer exists in Pokemon Go

The "Flowers of P" gym in West Lafayette, IN was removed months ago. It was at NW corner of Northwestern Avenue and W Stadium Avenue (location below). Unfortunately pokestops close to this former gym still produce the "Scan Flowers of P" AR mapping task. It is impossible to complete because the gym has been removed from the game. Could those AR mapping tasks please be removed from the pokestops so they are not generated?

I can see this has gone from the wayfarer database, so it’s not something the wayfarer team are not going to be able help with.
You need to use the Pokémon Go in app help, which is likely to be frustrating.
Meanwhile I don’t think the fact that it’s not there, stops task completion. Go to the spot and scan that it’s ot there and you can complete the task.
Just delete it. The rewards are always lackluster.
Or just keep the research not only for 'souvenir' but also to keep new AR scanning research tasks away.
