On the delete confirmation screen, Niantic could put a blurb saying it will delete your Wayfarer too, regardless of other games - ARE YOU SURE?
But they seem to prefer the suprise method instead. And all the personal one-on-one attention.
I requested to delete Pikmin Bloom Account (because I don't use this game), and:
1. my stats are resetted (I have about 93k of reviews...)
2. in the nominations list, there are not all sent nominations...(sent by Ingress and Pokémon Go Account)
3. Wayfarer medal on Pokémon Go, it has been resetted...?!?!
Noting that the Pikmin Bloom account is not usable for Wayfarer and this is written on Pikmin Bloom Site,too...

This issue was first reported 2 years ago, yet your team somehow can't fix it and just pretend this as a new "norm" instead? How about the folks who got even worse fate by suspended from Wayfarer after requesting game account deletion?

I would like to add that I have also been affected by this issue. Several months ago, I requested the deletion of a Pikmin Bloom account which was connected to my Ingress and Pokemon Go accounts. After it was deleted, my Wayfarer stats were gone, including my banked upgrades. I can still see my submissions on Wayfarer, and I my badges on Pokemon Go and Ingress still show that I have earned agreements.
Prior to @NianticAaron's announcement on Nov. 2 that this was "working as intended," I had filed complaints using the chatbot on Wayfarer and replied to my Pikmin Bloom deletion email asking for a resolution. I have not had a response from Niantic through the chatbot and I receive an automated response that the email inbox I replied to was not monitored.
I hope that Niantic reconsiders its position, as I have put a significant amount of time and effort into Wayfarer (with at least 8,000 agreements), and I'd be happy to provide any assistance needed to resolve the issue.
@NianticTintino-ING I believe you can at least give some clarification on what happened here instead wasting another AMA questions on the next AMA, right?

I deleted a Pokemon Go account that prevented me from linking my Pokemon Trainer Club to the email address. The Pokemon Go account was brand new (introduction with Prof Willow new).
My Ingress account has been affected. I have been reviewing since 2017 in the OPR days. Reviewed over R43k, and submitted 1286 nominations with 986 'accepted' (936 in game) and 20 in queue/voting/appealed. I have lost all progress, upgrades (284) and upgrades pending (2).
As per the thread, it is now 2023 and this is still a thing? Please can someone from Niantic elaborate why?
I have asked the chatbot as well in the interim - posting this within 10 min of my account being reset.
Edit: 1168 out of my 1286 nominations are under my nomination page. Last nomination was in September 2022. 103 of these missing nominations were accepted already and 101 are in Ingress. However my in queue/in voting/appealed nominations are missing as they are recent nominations.
Simple, they can't fix it and pretend the issue as the new norm instead.
Now let them explain for account that were suspended for requesting any account deletion.

It seems to differ on which game was deleted and/or how you nominate things?
For me, when I got my Wayfarer access back after the deletion of my Pokémon Go account, only my Ingress nominations remained.
However, apparently they kept my info for the email I used previously. Even though I specifically asked for that data to be deleted, they didn't. Not surprised though. But I found out because they suddenly sent emails about old nominations that were to be resubmitted through that email address. It is not an email I use for anything Niantic any longer, but there you go. I don't know how this could be done better, but it is far from okay (or legal?). And I am never again linking any email address betweeen Niantic games. Different email for each game, if I ever decide to play another Niantic game again. Then it's up to Niantic to find a better and safer solution for this dilemma.
What I forgot to add was that my old PoGo nominations stayed in Niantic's database for some reason. I am referring to the ones already in voting at least, probably some other ones too? Some really borderline **** right there. I have not gotten any emails on my old mail for the decisions for those old PoGo nominations, but once in a while I saw new portals that I made with Pokémon Go back then.
I don't think so, because I, as a lot of you, when deleted my ingress account as a result I had ave a completely empty Wayfarer profile (4500 votes and so many pokestop created...sight), but I did every single candidature throughout Pokémon, not ingress, so...😭😭
I tried to ask Niantic if my pending requests remain in votation to other and if I will receive an email if they were approved, but no one answered me.
Ah, so did you use an other email for Pokémon, not the same of ingress right? In this way you had Wayfarer access back
And they never deleted the data even if you asked for?
So I don't understand why people can't recover their wayfarer data if they mantein all 😡
No, I used the same email for both games, like it's intended. But I had to change email in Ingress to get the access to my Wayfarer account back. I don't really remember all the details though. It was one huge mess lol. It's like it never dawned on anyone that people might lose interest in one game and want to delete it and still want to do Wayfarer throught the remaining game (at least now you CAN delete the games btw).
No, they can't have deleted the data when the old nominations were still in voting and some made their way to to the games. And the fact that they contact me on the old email that is no longer linked to anything Niantic-related tells me no, clearly they did not delete the data.
I deleted Pikmin and only ever nominated through Go which made everything 100+ accepted, 15ish in voting, 40ish in queue, some on appeal and hold. I've had no more emails whereas @Johnsonsine-ING has received emails I think.
I have also had things go through and edits appear from after the deletion that were nominated before.
I can also still see my username on things that were accepted before deletion.
I'll try turning off show username in my current post deleted account to see if it effects anything that was accepted pre deletion and showing my username.
Also forgot the 20,000+ reviews and 148( IT'S TRUE) upgrades disappeared.
Nomination made from before account deletion, show username is switched on.
Same nomination after switching show username off in post deleted account.

This makes things even more unacceptable, because it's absurd they can't eliminate this sort of mirroring if the connection remains.

Less hope that they will ever fix it since it seems such a tangled mess of inconsistencies.
It‘s 3 years now that I reported this bug.
And many other players are affected, too.
Unbelievable that Niantic couldn’t care less about real problems of their players.
They plan to restore the data to those affected by the Monster Hunter beta. Maybe this might lead them to fix the underlaying problem from now on.
They promised me in October 2020 to restore my data and that it might take several weeks. It’s been 3 years now and nothing happened
