Niantic reviewers=No reason reject. Why?

Hi, I want to make a question: what is the reason because Niantic reviewed proposals (those with niantic logo) never put a rejection reason?
I mean, when you as individual in wayfarer reject a wayspot, you're asked to put a reason: location, pedestrian access, natural element, other reason...And the person who made the proposal will know these rejection reasons.
But Niantic team directly rejects the proposals without saying nothing about their reasons, you should "imagine" it or simply repost to have feedback from normal users about what's wrong.
I think this is unfair and Niantic should give at least 1 main reason for rejection.

I don’t think you will find anyone disagreeing as it is just fundamentally unhelpful.
I have begun to wonder what the interface looks like for Niantic reviewers. It either looks the same as normal review but for some reason it then has to bypass the normal algorithm that picks up the reasons or perhaps it has a very basic screen with just simple accept /reject buttons and follows a different route from start to finish.
I don't know why, but I have a guess.
Niantic pays in-house reviewers, and humans are expensive. My guess is that the workflow is far more streamlined than the one that player reviewers see so that in-house reviewers can work more efficiently. Adding rejection reasons to the workflow would probably slow down the workflow by at least 25% which means more cost for Niantic and/or slower in-house reviews for players.
(Many years ago I worked at a white-label video hosting company and they had a content review staff. The process was incredibly efficient and a skilled reviewer could review most videos in a few seconds. They even had a custom keypad for the workflow. Watching them work was pretty incredible.)
There is no rime or reason to what Niantic reviewers do. They seemingly just hit "accept" or "deny" at random. Look at this.
I submitted all of these trail markers yesterday. They were all sent to Niantic for voting. Half of them were rejected and half of them were accepted. No idea why they were rejected. I took pictures of them bloody yesterday, obviously they still exist.
I've also had Niantic reviewers mark things as duplicates when they very clearly aren't, and they'd know this if they'd actually look at the photos for more than two seconds.
Because their literally Niantic & its literally their game & they make the rules so they aint need to explain sheet lol.
When Wayfarer first opened for crowd-sourcing, in 2017, they probably also had a streamlined review system for employees. (I've been in IT for decades. This is how it works - Always have a backend pared-down easy method for inside the company only.)
So they've evolved separately in 5 years. We don't know how the internal system has changed. But we know that the version we originally saw didn't have rejection reason. Reviewers could just press 1* and yes-I'm-sure. Because of user complaints, after a year Niantic added rejection reasons to the crowd-sourced review process. Slowed down reviewers who quickly 1* everything.
I wouldn't be surprised if rejection reasons were never added to the in-house system. Their reason is "because I said so".
(Related trivia: It took another year before these reasons were given in emails to the nominator.)
While I have my own theory, I admit I could be wrong. But I'm having a similar issue. My Waystops get rejected for Low Quality and I wonder if they are just rejecting REALLY because it's proximity. Very aggravating to work so hard and be rejected for no reason.
Hey folks this has been raised internally and Tintino has taken examples from the community to review.
Thank you! It's nice to know about internal criteria.
Indeed, "Internal criteria". As if how they review is totally different to what they preach.
It's been something that they've been doing for a very long time. The "." rejections were actually them, and I still to this day highly believe that they don't put in the effort to do proper Wayfarer work to this day. The only time you'll get any actual written reasoning is when they reject an appeal. Or gladly state that they've accepted your appeal in writing but the nomination still shows "Not Accepted". Bonkers.
Won't see a fix this half of the year, they're only focusing on velocity.
Who is "Tintino" is that a Niantic "mucky muck" next time you're playing golf with them ask why reviewers can reject a wayfare spot in a PUBLIC PARK by claiming it's a "private residence" and why niantic wont actually approve an appeal when a spot is clearly in a PUBLIC PARK and meets the listing criteria, but is rejected with the rejection reason claiming it is a private residence but CLEARLY is in a PUBLIC PARK!
I don't golf. And please stop hijacking other people's threads with different intents than their original posts. If you have concerns with your own submissions, make a clear post in https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/categories/nomination-improvement-advice with screenshots and I'd love to interact with you there.
You should post your nomination of the PUBLIC PARK submission and maybe get advice on how to improve it?
