Appeal stuck for over a year

Hey to anyone who can help me out here! I have had an appeal stuck in the process for over a calendar year now. It’s really upsetting to watch people get dozens of appeals through while my only one sits there not moving for a year and five days now.
Is it seriously stuck? Is there anything I can do? I would rather not nominate it again and waste two upgrades. Could someone please just look, or at least tell me why mine hasn’t moved?

Just to check, are you sure you sent the appeal a year and five days ago? Some people check Wayfarer for the progress on their appeals and assume that the date near the appeal tag is the date that they appealed the nomination, but in actuality that is the date when the original nomination was made, and not the date it was appealed. The only way to find out when you submitted an appeal is if you've got an email confirmation of the appeal being submitted.
I only bring that up as it's a common misunderstanding. My oldest appeal that's outstanding was submitted in September, and the last one they looked at was from July. For the most part (a couple of glitches notwithstanding) they are reviewing in the order they were received nowadays.
If yours really is from before then, then it may have been affected by one of the bugs, but apparently that's being worked on.
I submitted the appeal when they came out last year. I believe that was around February since I didn’t submit any right away.
Basically I made one appeal in January and one in February and they both sat there all year. My last one finally went through a few months ago after I asked about it on here. I’m hoping if this one is also stuck in the process they can do something.
Fair enough, that does sound like your appeals could've been in the batch affected by the glitch where they weren't getting passed to Niantic reviewers. Hopefully they have resolved this and they'll get to your review soon, and hopefully you do get an acknowledgement from Niantic about this :)
