Indonesia Challenge - Last Day!

Hello Explorers!
We only have hours left before we wrap up the Global Review Challenge - Indonesia! Y'all have been doing an amazing job and we're excited to see the final results. We've heard some feedback from the community and our Ambassadors and will be making some changes for upcoming challenges and some slight changes to this one as well. More on that tomorrow.
We are currently at:
- 4531 participants
- 3361 Accepted Wayspots
We're almost there! Don't forget, we have one final Bonus Location reset scheduled for tomorrow so that you can all set it back to your non-challenge Bonus Location.

Thanks for the update Tintino!
I'm surprised to see we still haven't yet reached the tier 1 rewards. I think a lot of people saw the day 1 progress update having 3/4 of the way and stopped reviewing. I personally didn't receive as many nominations from Indonesia after the first couple days , especially ones that were actually good quality wayspots(Denpasar was pretty good all around). That was despite moving my bonus location around when I could, but yeah a lot of PRP and location mismatched nominations after the first few days.
Hopefully we can still get there, I'll smash out a few more reviews before lunch. The Indonesian community will still be pretty happy with the result either way. Cheers guys.
Too many 1* there.
I would be courious to know how many reviews had been done.
Seems odd that the numbers slowed down that much.
Adding 3k reviewers but only a few hundred accepted spots after 10 days.
I'd just put this here:
@NianticTintino-ING if we still can't reach the target, then what kind of rewards would us get?
Maybe individuals with 5 or 10 approvals can get the rewards? That would take a LOT of reviewing to achieve!
Changing accepted to reviewed would probably be the better result.
We got more participants than accepted wayspots, ouch.
So far none of the ones I accepted since I had time to finally start reviewing a couple days ago made it into the game. And many were mosques, restaurants and public buildings.
But it's really not helpful if the rate where I get one review from down there is like 1/11.
And apparently I can't change my bonus location back since I just changed it 2 days ago, great.... -_-
I'd love to get more from bonus location but appreciated if the rewards goalpost is getting moved. Thanks for the heads-up on bonus location change.
If I'm to suggest changes for this challenge:
-Having the goal based on accepted wayspots leads to many poor wayspots getting accepted (due to everyone trying to meet the goal). A goal based on agreements may work better. If I get 10 to review and 9 of them are bad, that's only one click for the progress and that's a waste of time for us.
-If users don't frequent the message board they may never know of this challenge. Why not put up the banner on the site to inform users?
-There's a problem with users setting the bonus location somewhere that's too remote and barely anything came through for review. I think getting guaranteed challenge location nominations to review by expanding the coverage might help.
So if I understand correctly we should have accepted every propositions coming from Indonesia to complet the challenge rather than reviewing correctly.
i think nia should do a pre - check of what's in the queue.
easy for them to generate a wide mosaic .
if most are bad set the challenge on a lot of reviews.
if most are ok set the challenge on a bunch of accepted
I disagree. Niantic doesn't even have the manpower to process appeals in an acceptable amount of time. I doubt they are willing/able to du that kind of "pre-testing".
Also the preposition of "wayspots must be accepted for you to get a reward" is flawed in its core.
Next time, please just let agreements count towards goals. I know, Niantic wants to have more wayspots in some Areas so their games can be played/marketed there, but for that the Database needs acceptable wayspots. Doesn't really look good to visit your local garbage can to play a game...
There's a huge difference between
'We want people reviewing and using Wayfarer. How do we get them to enjoy that?'
to
'We want people reviewing. How do we get them to do that?'
It seems like Niantic focus on the latter.
I have a feeling this is what has been happing the last couple of days. I have reviewed nearly 12,000 submissions and never dropped below "Great" rating. After rejecting a couple of bad Indonesian submissions over the last few days all of a sudden my rating is at "Fair" and I can't seem to get it back up... I've resorted to just skipping the Indonesian ones now or waiting out the timer.
@NianticTintino-ING
I really need at least 1 more day to change bonus location past today. I didn't take in to account when I changed the last time I wouldn't be able to change today. I really don't want to be left in Indonesia. I mean I'd pretty much let you pick any English speaking as a primary language country that needs reviewers, but translation is rough.
My rating got hit HARD this challenge too. Going from Great to Good was like whatever maybe there's some disagreements. Then I distinctly went from Good to Fair for giving 1 star to an Indonesian submission of a live fish. Seriously, it was just a close-up of a fish in a fish tank.
I only lightly reviewed, but I barely got any Indonesia reviews... Maybe 10? Out of that only 2 I approved and that was iffy at best, the rest were ineligible/fake such as PRP or straight up screenshots of Google StreetView. So IDK what was going on there.
How about both agreements and acceptances?
Having agreements-only for reward is to review harsher than normal because that would be the safer bet vs accepting an unfamiliar/poorly-drawn submission relative to areas with an established Wayfarer reviewer community. This is assuming that they choose which country has underserving reviewing population for the event. Not to mention that the goal of Niantic to add more to the database.
More reviewers than accepted waypoints.. Proves how much coal was in the system.
