I want to ask if the reason for rejection is appropriate.

This is a sign that provides information about 'tree rain' installed by the university. It's contaminated with resin, but there's nothing wrong with reading.
Of course, it is located on a safe trail owned by the national university.
It was rejected as 'Low Quality Photo' and 'School (K-12)'.
Can you tell me how to understand the reason for the rejection?

Regarding the photo feedback, on top of the sign being dirty, the image overall is on the dark side. I donβt think Iβd reject for that, but I can see a picky reviewer choosing it. You are allowed to use image enhancement tools so long as they are not obvious. I turned up some settings and got this, which I think is maybe better:
Do keep in mind that your primary image is the first thing a reviewer sees, so you always want it to make a good impression.
The K-12 rejection is a location-based reason and we donβt have location information here. Iβd recommend double checking Google maps to see if there is a pin for a youth-centered facility/location nearby, such as an elementary school, private school, or child care facility. A university campus should not garner a K-12 rejection on its own.
I have a set of trail signs in a university with the same problem of having poor maintenance. I am still waiting for a go-signal from the university unit to get those clean myself, I worry about these exact rejections.
First up, reviewers may have put LQP due to the poor maintenance of the sign itself (following the old rule that signs were to be readable, second-hand info. Not sure whether it applies still.). School (K-12) is commonly misused for college/university as well, clarifying the distinction highlighted first in the supporting info typically curbs that. I think both rejections are unreasonable but you may wanna take the initiative to clean it (with permission from the project contributor/manager) as
precaution too. This advice is only based on what is above, no idea with your text and location.Thank you for your feedback.
I made the picture bright, and I'm going to try again.
And I don't understand that 'sign' was rejected as 'school (K-12)' because it is on a hill owned by a national university.

I think, as you think, poor management of university signs may be a problem.
First of all, I will try to get a review with a bright picture before cleaning the sign.
Thank you for your feedback. π

University facilities should not be rejected as "schools (K-12)".
If the reviewer rejected it as a "school(K-12)", it was clearly misused.
Because "K-12" means the period of education from kindergarten to high school graduation.
(K : Kindergarten - 6(ε°ε¦ζ ‘) + 3(δΈε¦ζ ‘) + 3(ι«ηε¦ζ ‘) = 12)
That looks fantastic. In fact, your two photos could be used as an example for others on how to do simple edits that will help your nomination look the best it can! Too often we think about editing as making the sunset look gorgeous. But the best edits are ones like this that if you first came across this image, you'd never know it had been enhanced.
I applied again, but it was rejected. I don't understand the standards of South Korean reviewers. I'll wait until the reviewer who rejected it stops working and try again later.
@ParkUah-PGO How was it rejected so quickly? Did you upgrade it?
Yes, I upgraded it.
OK, so try to nominate it again and leave it in local voting. In my experience (in the US), locals vote more thoughtfully than those in the upgrade audience. Learning which ones to upgrade and which ones to keep local is a skill.
I've appealed for it, so I'm going to wait until the results come out.
I will try as you told me when I submit the candidate next time. Thank you for your good tip.
I definitely would have rejected the first photo for being dark. I always take into account that Wayfinder can't control if an object is damaged- but definitely expect we can all do minor edits on our mobiles. You did an outstanding job that exceeds my personal expectations on your edit. Very nice job!
Someone cleaned the 'sign'.
So I applied for a candidate again with a clean picture.
I'll leave a comment when the review results come out.
I'm always thankful for the comments.
Thank you for your opinion.
So I applied again for a clean and bright picture.
I think someone contacted the university and made the 'sign' clean. I am grateful to him.
i regularly clean signs before photographing π
Nice clean-up!
And thanks to you I now carry a pack of wet wipes in my Wayfarer-bag - and I got to use them today π
To be kind to the environment I use a microfibre cloth that can be washed and reused and water from a flask.
Even smarter!
Repeatedly rejected as k-12, even though it was a university site. There seems to be a problem with the quality of the reviewer.
