Upgraded nominations are stuck in queue

Hi, as some others have reported in General Discussion, upgraded nominations are stuck in queue.
As for mine, they were nominated on 4/28 and 5/2, and I upgraded both of them on 5/9. So I’m pretty sure I have waited enough to think that this is a bug.

Not only are they stuck in queue, they are stuck in voting.

Either it's a bug, or boycott from many GO Trainers are taking effect into Wayfarer.
I now have two nominations upgraded that are anything but:

I won't apply any more upgrades until this is resolved.

The time taken for a submission to get into voting and to be reviewed may be affected by many factors like the backlog of submissions in the queue or the number of active reviewers in the community. Please be patient and you should see the status change eventually.
Also, I want to assure you that your upgraded nominations will be prioritized for a more timely analysis.

@NianticAaron there is a general thread about this ( Why is my upgraded nomination still in voting?) with many examples. It may not be a bug but this is not the behaviour we are used to, where upgrades are resolved within a week at the very most.
Unless the algorithm was changed I do not think is normal for my submission to be in voting and upgraded for 5 days. I usually get an answer 8 hours tops.
Then are you admitting that the current situation at which many Pokemon GO players boycotting Niantic apps including Wayfarer did affect nomination flow?
@NianticAaron the ambassadors are well aware this is an ongoing issue. I still don't have a decision on this one:
There is no way an upgrade should take more than 5 days when normally an upgrade applied to a nomination made 5 days ago gets a decision in a few hours. I haven't upgraded anything since this happened.

So this is not a bug? Are you saying that it is normal to wait this long for upgraded nominations?

I know sometimes it takes several days to get into voting, but waiting for a week is not something we expect when we use upgrades. Even though there are many backlogs and less reviewers. I have been reviewing past week as usual and seen a lot of coals that couldn't possibly have been upgraded (those who earn and use upgrades usually don't submit coals), which means upgraded nominations are not being prioritized. Something must be going on here.
Upgrades not working as intended take my will to review. We recently got a new park and I really wished to fill him soon. The view is so pretty, it has a killer sunset, such a nice place to play.
I hope this is investigated more closely. I am now afraid to use upgrades, which is the only way anything in my area is ever resolved. I have one that's been upgraded for over a week now, and they're usually resolved within hours of upgrading.
I just want to inform everyone that despite whatv@niantica@NianticAaron said, the team is aware of this bug and @NianticTintino-ING is currently investigating.
I m also having this problem. Upgraded around 7:30 am US Central Time on May 9 and still in queue

Thank you for sharing your example. The Ambassadors and I have gathered and looked into several examples and while some were false alarms, several of them are behaving unexpectedly. I've sent the issue to our team for further investigation. We'll keep you and the community updated.
From most of the results we've seen, the stuck upgrades were isolated to a day. I understand the concern but new upgrades should work as expected by the community.
As soon as I mentioned that the only affected day seemed to be the day I upgraded, May 10, I immediately got responses about upgrades applied May 9 and May 11 not working. And continue to see new posts about upgrades not doing anything daily. I am not upgrading anything.
Do we need to post our "stuck" upgrades or will it sort itself out at some point?

It seems like it's not just one day but several days that got affected. I really hope the stuck ones get resolved soon.
I have 3 upgraded AND stuck in voting for 4.5 days now. They usually go through in a few hours after they reach voting.
I can see my progress towards my next upgrade increasing, so I know someone’s nominations are processing (I just wish my upgrades were going through!)
Yes thank you. I have nearly earned a new upgrade, which I will apply to the most eligible thing I have in the queue. If that still does not move then there are still problems… we shall see.
EDIT: due to @KatiRoseS-PGO's own attempt at this (upgrading yesterday and still nothing - see here 1:09PM) i will not be upgrading anything until the situation is resolved.
Iv had 2 nominations upgraded. One for over a week and both are still in queue but iv just had a non upgraded nomination going into voting. What's going on are upgrades pointless now ??
This is day 6 of my nomination (upgraded) still in voting
A week late, but the one of these that was still queuing has finally entered voting in the last few hours. I will wait to see whether it is resolved in the kind of time I expect for an upgrade, or if it was just 'its time'. Suppose the other one could also have now officially been upgraded since I would not have seen any change (was already in voting)
Iv had one of my upgraded nomination go into voting and rejected within a few hours for no good reason other than 'other rejection criteria '. These lazy reviewers just speed through to get an upgrade. ( it was a post box which there are hundreds of ways pots already in the UK) 1 upgrade still in queue.
If it's an EIIR postbox it will get rejected as it is not unique enough - 60% of UK postboxes are EIIR, that's around 30k.
Good to know. Also spoke to a friend he has an upgraded nomination still sat in queue for nearly a week also 😔
I subbed my local EIIR and two others nearby twice each before realising they would never get through.
On the subject of upgrades, I was encouraged by my sub going into voting and so upgraded another. But as yet, it has not moved, and no decision on the first one yet.
I upgraded a nomination already in voting, 3 days ago. I have never had it take more than 24 hours, usually much less.
I have an upgrade that's still in the queue after a week now, so the problem persists.
