New Photo doesn't show up

The Bin-Box "Containerkunst" in Nuremberg, Germany was completely reworked by the owner (completely new painting), so I submitted a picture of the new design by ingress-App. The received mail sais that the new photo will show up in wayfarer about 30 minutes later for voting. Now, about 5 days later, the image still can't be found anywhere? Did I do something wrong? How does the new photo find it's way to its games ot wayfarer?

Photo submissions go through the same review process that new nominations go through. Other reviewers will decide if your photo is acceptable or not. Once enough reviews have been submitted for a decision to be made, you'll get an email saying whether your photo was accepted or rejected. If it is accepted, it should appear in game within 48 hours of you getting the acceptance email.
The email you got is confirming that you submitted the new photo for review and that it is in the Wayfarer review queue.
I understood that, but why doesn't the photo show up in my wayfarer-submissions as the mail sais? ("It takes up to 30 minutes to synchronise and show up on wayfarer...")
Because it's an edit, and since it's an edit, like any edit you make, it doesn't appear in the wayfarer submissions, and that's because of Niantic themselves, I couldn't give you a specific reason but that's the way things are, I hope I've helped.
Niantic intended for edits to show up on your contributions tab along with your nominations, but whilst they changed the wording of the email to say this, they've not yet changed the way the contributions tab actually works, so edits still don't show up on Wayfarer. It's been that way for over a year now.
I have to pull up this topic again. It's very disappointing that there is no chance to get any information about the progress. There's no way to use an upgrade on a review like this, is it?
No, you can't upgrade edits, and for a few months they were going much slower than intended. You will still get the email when it reaches a decision though.
Also, if someone has the Wayspot removed while your picture is outstanding, you won't get any notice at all.
I have to ask again If there is any way to find out about the current state of the new picture for "Containerkunst" in Nuremberg, Germany, as nothing happened now for over 4 month? In these 4 month lots of other changes and new Portals came live... is there anything we can do to speed things up?
Do you have a specific location? Nuremberg is quite big...
There have been bugs before, where pictures didn't load to Ingress. I wouldn't be surprised if it happens again.
Apparently there are no internal counters to make sure: <number pictures approved> = <number pictures added to Lightship> = <number pictures uploaded to PokemonGo> = <number pictures added to Ingress>

I misread your original post, sorry.
There is still one picture at that waypoint, so no new photos have been added. Edits could take some time before being processed. Months are no exception. Waypoints can go live quicker, for instance through upgrades. You can't apply upgrades towards edits.
Oh - you only got the submitted email? Not the accepted email yet? Allow at least six months after submitting, to see results. That is "working as intended".
Six month without any information? Wow! Do you send a colleague on Location to Check If its OK? 😅
