It has been quite the exciting last couple of days seeing the amazing reviews you all have done. In less than 24 hours, you all collectively cleared Tier 3 of the Community Rewards! Believe me when I say you all left us in awe at our community’s accomplishments! We want to report that with the help from our amazing Ambassadors, we have shipped the fix for the bug impacting your Spain reviewing experience and you should now be able to see more Spain reviews again. Before we get further into the weekend, we also want to share a couple of exciting snippets from the challenge so far.
Total Number of Participants:
12,117
Total Number of Community Reward Eligible Participants:
I agree. We've been talking about all the potential privacy issues that may come up. People need to be comfortable with whatever name is published being out there.
Realistically, if those are all wayfarer user names, they are already "public" on the community board. Although, we could reasonably mark a voter hidden if their submission picture for POIs name is hidden. Wouldn't even take an extra box to check.
Are the wayposts uploading blocked in many areas of Spain? I have a large number of wayposts uploaded in Spain in Seville in queue with upgrade state that have not passed in to votation for days and I dont get wayposts to evaluate in large cities either. Is the system working fine?
A bit unfortunate that 1/10 of participants don't actually have enough to qualify for the community rewards. What's the distribution like? Long tail of 1 reviews, or a bunch of people actually trying for the 50? Is there enough for everyone to at least hit 50?
I have been trying hard to get to 50 and I finally hit it today. I just don't have a lot of time to review. But I did get an upgrade just by doing the reviews so that is good.
Something is not working, the number of rejections of good proposals that some of us are receiving is not normal. Not all proposals can be historical sculptures!!.
I hope @NianticTintino-ING see this and review what is happening, because if people's review is based on rejecting all proposals that, even if they meet eligibility and acceptance criteria, are not historical sculptures, then those people should be penalized.
If we have to wait more than three years for certain proposals to be evaluated and then in the challenge all the proposals are rejected, then of course the queue is released, but a good job is not being done based on the rules.
The nominations now take so long to get the next, and there's not an abundance of Spanish nominations, so I'm just trying to take enough that I hopefully qualify for having participated enough to get the global rewards... I really hope Niantic can manage to give us some way to see that we've qualified before the challenge is over. I originally wanted to go for getting the individual rewards, but at this pace it's not worth my time, especially since there's no way of knowing whether or not I qualify. Oh, and I review on my phone, so I don't have access to plugins that could have told me this...
There is no way that I can achieve my personal goals. Today I only had 5 out of 30 nominations from Spain. Throughout the challenge it's 66/116 according to my tally 🤐. Most of them on day 1.
With all these people complaining about not getting enough nominations from Spain, a little question popped into my head…
@NianticTintino-ING would it be posible to share the estimated reduction on the Spanish backlog expected to achieve with this Challenge? 25%? 50%? 67%? Just curious on how really big the backlog is 😊 (becouse I really believe that the 500 reviews are achievable for everyone, and we’ll still have some backlog left, I’d love to know how far I am from the real situation)

We all like being frustrated volunteers! We do have until June 7th though so we still have time.
I'm getting almost all Spain again. Might be unofficially fixed.
My friend is still getting almost no Spain still.
I had 10 in a row then it returned to postboxes and pubs
I'm getting a lot more Spanish submissions now and no more stalling on the Niantic balloon between reviews.
Counter has jumped up by a few thousand since I last logged in a few hours ago. Address is still loading very slowly though.

Oooo we have a leader board. I want access to that to 100 individuals.
But no one got any reviews from Madrid yet...
Leaderboard + personal ranking would get people more motivated and it would add a competitive aspect to these challenges
YES!!!! It might even convince me to review in-between shadow Mewtoo raids tomorrow
2200+ reviews done as of now
You are at least twice me. I've done 1300 total, but all morning was stateside.
I agree. We've been talking about all the potential privacy issues that may come up. People need to be comfortable with whatever name is published being out there.
Now it's 20k. @NianticTintino-ING would you please consider to add any additional rewards for reaching 20k resolved nominations?
@Skinnydeads-PGO well done so far that’s a huge number.

I'd prefer this to be fixed before usernames are posted on a leaderboard without the users consent
I feel like when you completing a challenge, the game has every right to use your wayfarer name.
@NianticTintino-ING i get more contributions from @home to review than from Spain.
I wont be able to complete the task this way.
I agreed with you. A little bit more Spain would bei great.
Not really. It doesn't bother me but some people may want to retain their privacy.

I personally just want to know how many reviews I've done have counted without having to install three different things.

There is time for those - like me - who are on low numbers to plod along to 50.

How am I supposed to get to 500 this way?
