My account got reset to the starting point where I had to choose language, location and other preferences and go through the tutorial and quiz for beginners.

Funny thing, my previous nominations are there still in place.

This is usually caused by deleting a Niantic game.

Restore my data too from a year ago.
Indeed - I'm an Ingress player. I have installed PoGo for an hour - gave it a try and requested account removal.
Thankfully I haven't lost my Ingress account :D
Good, I think there has been varying effects for different people but always with a Wayfarer reset.
A simple text warning you about what happens would probably have stopped you deleting...

I reported this issue 3 years ago.
The bug hasn’t been fixed and my stats haven’t been restored.
