Deleted forgotten PoGo account, Ingress subbed Waypoints not yet queued have disappeared

Varchild76-INGVarchild76-ING Posts: 4 ✭✭

I recently deleted a PoGo account I forgot I had that I haven't used since 2017 I think, and since deleting it, my wayfarer account has been buggy. It says I need to finish onboarding and to retest, neither of which should have been affected since the account was only L2, and worse yet in my contributions list the waypoint I subbed days earlier via Ingress was removed from my contributions list. Again, it shouldn't have been affected as the PoGp account wasn't even eligible for Wayfarer. I'm not understanding why this has happened, but I'm attaching the submission letter for you guys to look into it. Let me know what to do if I need to do something on my end. I'll provide whatever additional information I can about this incident.

Model and OS:

My cell isa Motorola edge 5G UW (2021) running Android 12

I do my Wayfarer management and reviewing on a Dell G3 15 laptop running Windows 11 through Chrome v.113.

Sorry the attachments are out of order. The above screenshot is the email thanking me for the missing submission. It was screencapped from my email attached to the associated Ingress account affected by this issue.

The following screencap attachment is my contribution list from wayfarer for the same account.

Since making the report tonight, I also found a recently accepted portal that I got credit for in my Ingress game, including the in game AP and associated reward portal key That I haven't as of yet been to in game that is not listed in my contributions list on wayfarer. Just one more entry. Those were the only entries from the list that are missing. Everything from a year ago and longer is unaffected, and everything since the deletion is where it belongs. Just the stuff from the last month prior to the deletion request, confirmation, and completion... That might be something that means something to the other deletion issues I've been reading about in other forum posts tonight. Where they seem to have lost entire accounts worth of info, my account is only affected by having two subs from last month affected.

Here's the info from the acceptance email on the other missing waypoint from my contributions list, in case it even matters. My other Ingress friend says the sub I reported above is probably still out there in it's own queue waiting to be reviewed, I kind a figure it's just deleted data and won't be recovered. It shouldn't have been, but I figure it is. The following one, I got all the credit for, but it's been removed from the wayfarer, so I figure it's lost forever too, but I got the in game rewards for it and they're still there, so not as concerned.

You should've searched the forum before posting this as a separate thread. It's a very well known issue.

I found no reports of deletion causing missing contributions. I found only reports of deletions causing entire wayfarer resets, badge losses, and statistic resets. My problem is different enough to warrant its own report. It involves none of the the other problems.

It's all part of the same thing. Deleting a connected account can cause submissions to disappear, can cause your entire Wayfarer account to get reset, or can even cause you to be banned from Wayfarer in some cases. At any rate, there are others who have posted about this same issue as yours and Niantic are aware of it/trying to fob it off as intended behaviour.

Oh, yes sorry. And thank you for singling me out to inform of this mistake on my part. I'm sure it's just oversight you failed to take it upon yourself to tell all the other people reporting similar, but not identical, issues that probably stem from the same cause even though their symptoms are all different.
