I was performing several hundreds reviews per day and stay on green with 70-73%. Now I'm on red. May be I am not good enough to perform reviews - got this hint, Niantec - I stopped reviewing.
With this situation - I can't see any reason to perform reviews or submit new stops - nothing moves in the queue of stops - as everyone red and vote not count anything.
I'm done with reviewing in my area (Belgium and a bit of France) after seeing this in the featured Wayspots. No wonder I keep dropping into red trying to rate junk like this poorly. Blows my mind screenshots get accepted twice.
Ahhh (edited comment) I see what you mean, I just looked at the image and not the border. Agreed that a lot of garbage gets through and it's frustrating to those of us that are trying to get quality candidates added. :(
@RaijNyu-ING someone posted a screenshot of those POI on the wayfarer forums on FB, and guess what, most of the people did not even notice that - lol!
I've talked to some new reviewers in my community, and several of them dropped to red within very few reviews, the worst one was after 8 reviews... They remember they've had at least one duplicate review. Could it be that the pre-approved nominations that test us are now so old that there is waypoints approved that they are duplicates of, and peoples rating then drop because they don't approve these, but instead mark them as duplicates?
I have been reviewing a few nominations each day and got to 20/30 agreements while still in yellow. I did three more just now, two were duplicates, and suddenly I am in the red?
I have been taking my time with these, I even pull up Google maps to check things, I refer to the criteria clarifications, like rejecting community center pools, so if I am doing something wrong it would be nice to know what exactly. Even just an indication of how many are still pending a decision would help.
Seems like a waste of my time to keep doing them while in the red. Hoping the rest of my reviews result in agreements and bring me back up to yellow...
Add me to the club of “green since OPR launched and now suddenly red”.
I retook the test, passed it, back to yellow, then reviewed veeeerrrrry slowly for a few days - and now I’m back to red again.
I will be adding myself to the list of people who won’t be doing any more free work for zero reward.
I flagged this in the Invalid Wayspot forums :)
@NianticCasey-ING it's been 2 months since the bug appeared.
No news to share at all ?
Niantic is swamped with GoFest prep & GoBattle league fixes. Wayfarer is pretty far down the ladder of priorities to them, It'll happen when it happens. I advise just going a little vacation from reviewing & relax till they sort things out. Stressing about it is pointless
After a few days in yellow, i am back to green!
Hello
I have also had big problems with my wayfarer rating....having been a reviewer for a long time now, I am working towards recursing on the badge in ingress. But this isn't going to happen as I sm stuck in the red, which happened to me about 3-4 weeks ago, I took the retest which put me back in yellow but I very quickly fell back into red again.
There are a lot of very poor subs in the system at the moment. Last week I started to change the way I review because I got cooldowns most days. So spending longer on each review and writing more comments when 1*declining a submission, so for 5 days now I have not had a cooldown but I am stuck in red and have been for weeks. Help!
Hello, I am in the same possition, rate droped to red, I got a upgrade from 7% and now I’m in the 30% for the second upgrade... still on red. Why?! Will someone say anything about this issue?
Yep i am still getting upgrades but still in red
After landing in red, I retook the test to reset my score and then did nothing for two days. This morning, I flagged one duplicate (and purposefully waited a minutes before submitting) and then immediately got a cooldown. Great job Niantic 🙄
There needs to be some sort of feedback loop on the reviews, if people could see how others voted (anonymously) on their reviews (both disagreement / agreement) it would allow people to reexamine what they thought, and hopefully improve their reviewing skills, and would also open the door to reporting abuse of the review system. This could also apply to submissions.
It's been almost three months and the bug hasn't been fixed yet. What is happening?
@NianticCasey-ING
I'm gonna be honest, as someone that has been reviewing since the days of OPR for the benefit of the various communities of Pokemon Go and Ingress this feels like a slap in the face. Back then I started in yellow, eventually went up to green. That was about 1,5-2 years ago. Now I'm in the red.
Not only are we doing Niantic's job for them (for free even!) and now we get punished for it? Yeah, good one Niantic. No more reviews till you sort this out.
Maybe this is what Niantic really wanted - the ones who review according to the guidelines to quit, such that the consensus rather is determined by the new ones who not necessarily do. Certainly starts to seem like it.
Was the same here. Then, I reviewed maybe around 10 submits, and hey presto, back to yellow. :(
Still in green, doing around 10 reviews each day and the agreement counter is increasing.
The whole system is frustrating many very experienced Ingress player for month. Falling to a bad status for no reason is quite common. I personally felt from a great status with an overall rating of 69% correct or ‘as the crowd’ ratings on a total of 11‘000 ratings to poor within hours. Since then I had to slow down the ratings to a maximum of 5 per day to achieve a good status. Since then I write everything down in a personal statistic and I see a massive shift towards accepting portal nominations. In my overall rating I see an accept rate of 22%, actually it is about 50%!
It does seem to be a cell-based problem.
For instance, in my region the NR04-GOLF-14 cell is working: everything gets approved in less than a week. Whereas nominations in the neighboring NR04-FOXTROT-03 cell are completely stuck: nothing in it has got approved without upgrades since late April. I've submitted multiple nominations to both cells, and the split is easy to notice.
The crux of the problem is that the pending unresolved nominations hurt your rating: pending seems to be counted the same as disagreements. And now, because of this problem with some of the cells, there's far more unresolved nominations stuck in voting than usual. So the more you rate, the more you hurt your rating.
more than 3 months I can not retake the test. The REVIEW tab displays the message: "Sorry, looks like you need a little more guidance before you're ready to start using Niantic Wayfarer.
Unfortunately at the present time your test scores indicate that you have not yet mastered the guidelines. "Can you give me another opportunity to take the test? Or what do I need to do?
Your question has nothing to do with the topic here. This message is displayed when you failed to take the test twice.
I have come to much the same conclusion. The more you review, the lower rating you get. That’s just insane. :(
This is my statistic during the time when I have went from green to red.
2020-04-27
Total reviwed 5916
Processed and Agreement 3412
2020-06-23
Totalt reviewed 7061
Processed and Agreement 4344
I have 81,3% agreement during this period. How can that be considered bad? I have virtually stoped reviweing now and just do a few reviews every week to see if anything is fixed, but it isn't. I give up... I get no credit for good work so I wont do any reviews. It's simple as that. Nominations are talking much longer here now to get them into review, I guess it's due to many giving up reviewing.
I am just noticing the opposite. I was in red and kept doing about 10 reviews per day.
Last Friday, I was all of sudden back in yellow and starting reviewing like crazy.
Yesterday I was back in green - didn't change anything about the way I review things.
Interesting point. The stop i nominated a month ago in other city - was approved today.
In my city I have nominations from -6-May - still in voting. So, my rating is red.
So is this fixed now? I am still mad in the red but have been avoiding reviewing beacuse of it.
