i was rejected for this reason. Does this need improvement?
There is already a Debartolo commons soccer field in the database, so yours was probably marked as duplicate but enough reviewers to trigger the “not historically significant” rejection
The location next to it is labeled Debartlo commons which is the general area. The soccer field is a piece of the area.
No, when @29andCounting-PGO says it's already in the database, they mean it's already in the database:
Looking at it, it should appear in Pokémon Go. If you can't see it at that location, then it's possible someone in charge of the location asked for its removal from Pokémon Go, as it definitely does exist in the database as you can see.
Edit: OK, now I'm confused. Out of curiosity I checked Campfire, and not only is your nomination already in the database, but it's a Gym, so you definitely should've seen that it already existed.
The whole area needs wiped in general. It’s frustrating trying to get this fixed. Are you able to see the pokestop next to the field? That pokestop is inside the mall. I tried to move it but it was rejected
I'm not sure what exactly is wrong? This is what I see when I look at the whole Debartolo Commons Area in Wayfarer (the orange Wayfarer pin isn't relevant).
I included a zoomed in view as there are a couple of little clusters. Those are all the wayspots in the database at Debartolo Commons. Some of them may not be eligible to appear in Ingress or Pokémon Go due to proximity rules. I can only see which of them are Gyms specifically by using Campfire.
The 3 Gyms there are Yohio, Edward Debartolo statue, and the soccer field you tried to submit.
If there's a location that needs moving, and it's more than 10 metres, you need to either use the Wayfarer support chat (which can be accessed by tapping the orange speech bubble icon on the page below):
Or you can use the location edits section of this forum to do the same. Either way you'll need evidence that the location edit is valid. If you can get geotagged photos those can help you out.
