How to edit Wayfarer name/username?

Hello,
I've just created my Wayfarer account, except I noticed that my Wayfarer profile name was my real name, not my Niantic username...
Is it possible to change this?

If you have it tied to a google account, then it's reading your name from there. But if it's your real gmail account, you probably don't want to change the name. The good news is that no one sees the name that you see when you log in to Wayfarer unless you take screenshots and share them. Any submissions you make use the player name from the game you used to make the submission.
Also, be very very very careful about changing the email account that your game is connected to. Their system is so convoluted that sometimes when people do this, they lose all their WF history.

So even if in my profile (https://wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/new/profile) I see my real name/first name, no modification or contribution I would make, even from the WF website, it will never display that name to others?
And.. in fact, I don't even know how I managed to only use Google to connect to my Niantic account, I can't remember why.. ^^'
The name you see on your Wayfarer profile is only visible to you. That section reflects the name connected to your Google profile.
Just to clarify, you can't make submissions from the WF website. So that is not a concern.
