We do not consider how many months each year we have access to a subject. What we should care about is whether the subject is always in place. The Christmas tree is cited in the help as an example of ineligible, not because it is only accessible for a few days, but because it only exists for a few days.
if you think i am wrong, i am sorry. i truly am. i see a lot of people disagree with all my comment above. let them be.
if you think i misunderstood the concept of eligible POI, i am sorry
compare with you, i am not very much nothing like you with so many comment in the forum
the thing is, the thread starter reporting agent x because agent x told the thread starter that he should stop submitting nomination inside private area. although i am new here, i know this is wrong. just read his comment, i knew thread starter was playing victim. if you read carefully, i am not agent x. i just hate when other agent submitting nomination so that he can get upper hand in the game.
in ingress the game master told us not to trespassing to others property. so, i am so sorry if other agent want to hack portal that has been submitted by the thread starter, they need to go to jail because trespassing. shall i advice them to look for you for lawyer fee?
Then it means if the wayspot become a gym, you need to ask permission, to be a visitor, to raid in the gym? or if it become a portal, you need to ask permission to enter the factory to destroy the portal? Is it that easy to ask permission to enter the factory in your area? because in my area, ANY reason that didn't have any connection to task or job from the factory itself will be prohibited to enter the factory.
The Christmas Tree is include in Seasonal Display btw, so it's not eligible for wayspot criteria 😁😁
are you really don't care if the gym can't be access by you as public? for me, my community that always need to go to the place to interact with either gym or portal, it's one of the criteria the wayspot to be live. if you can't access it, so why you submit it? unless for spoofer, they don't care is it private property or not, they can access it. If it Private Property, Ingress and Pokemon Go always remind us by the notification that always pop up every day " Do Not trespass while playing Ingress" of course it means ingress or Pokemon Go don't want us to go inside Private Property without any permission. Private Property is different with Public Area of course.
If you have proof that OP is trespassing/spoofing, report that to the authorities. If none, assume the submitter has the privelege of access.
Did you probably assume that "publicly accessible" = not private property? That is a too common fallacy. Refer to this AMA, limited-access/criteria question 2:
You will have to get access permissions if real world rules require you to access some locations. You, me, and your current community specifically may or may not get this permission most of the time without special requirements (a fee, an ID or visa, membership/employment to property owner) but it doesn't discount the other members of the public with the permissions to access.
You said it yourself that the games don't want their players to go to a private property without proper permission. It isn't the type of property that gives the problem of trespassing but the player's behavior. You've been told that public areas also have restrictions for entry, going out of those restrictions are considered trespassing as well. That notification is a reminder for the player to follow real rules (gameplay issue), it doesn't discount that some types of private properties are eligible locations within the Wayfarer criteria.
Note that the rejection criteria only references one type of private property to be explicitly ineligible. The rest have no references towards being private/public but ineligible due to other contexts.
@kawin240-ING @SeaprincessHNB-PGO @Elijustrying-ING etc. this thread is the reason we need (a) clear definition and distinction between private property and single famlily private residential property, as well limited/restricted access locations and safe pedestrian access, and (b) official Bahasa Indonesia language support for Wayfarer.
Seems awkward that we already have Bahasa Indonesia language support in Pokemon GO for months yet there is none in Wayfarer (and I assume Ingress too?).
@GurameBakar-ING I've been playing Ingress for ten years, and I've been playing PoGo since the closed beta. There are plenty of places that I've been unable to access for a variety of reasons.
Since you have -ING at the end of your handle I assume you understand that restricted access portals can have high tactical/strategic value as anchors for fields and blockers to make it hard for your opponents to field. Many people have gone to great lengths to access some of these portals, including chartering boats, planes, snowmobiles, and helicopters. It's part of what makes Ingress fun and interesting, and yes sometimes challenging and frustrating. I have occasionally asked for permission to enter a place that I would not normally have been able to enter although it's not the sort of thing that I would do at a factory. I've done it at a corporate campus, though. "Hello, security guard. I was walking by and noticed that really cool sculpture over there. Would it be possible for me to come in and take a photo of it, please?"
If I can't access a portal in the middle of a factory that's fine with me... there are plenty of other ones in the world.
If Public Accessible didn't mean can be access by public, then what the meaning of the words?
I know, then if other agent report the portal because can't be access by public, it's fine right? every people that have access to report can report the portal. Then, why playing victim by creating this thread? I just wanna know the reason since he disappear like a ghost 😂
Kalo begitu jangan protes kalo report-nya di-reject sm Niantic.
Access by SOME members of the public not all.
There are no requirements for you to play every Wayspot in existence nor is there a requirement for all Wayspot to be accessible to all players. If you cannot access it without trespassing, then all that means is that you do not have access to it. That doesn't make the Wayspot invalid or ineligible.
ada protes ga gue kalo di reject? udah jangan kebanyakan ngomong kalo gabisa debat, nanti bikin video permintaan maaf lagi hahahahahahaha
Public Accessible mean can be access by SOME member of public? IF only by the submitter it is not part of Public Accessible right? 😂
just ask my question then, the meaning of "Public Accessible". if other people can't access, only the submitter, then it is part of "Public Accessible" for you?
It means that some members of the public (who is not the owner) has access to the location. Workers at a factory are members of the public. Visitors to the factory are also members of the public. However public access does not mean that all members of the public have access to the location.
@GurameBakar-ING Your questions have been answered many times by many people. You just do not want to believe the people who disagree with you. You want to be right instead of reading what has been written and thinking about it.
The way you are bullying @patsufredo-PGO is gross and needs to stop. The way @0mAndy-ING is bullying the OP is gross and needs to stop. Niantic takes bullying seriously. People have been banned from playing the games for bullying others.
Based on the course this discussion has taken, I'll be closing it from further engagement.
