I have a question about the appeals process.

I have a question about the appeals process.
I have something I nominated. A bench in a park, no pokestop around for about a kilometer, possibly more.
I'd like to appeal, but the reason for rejection is only "other rejection criteria"
There is no explanation. I'm not sure if this is normal, but is there a way to get more info. So I can get, say a better picture, or different description, or whatever, before I just click the one time appeal button.
Sorry if I'm babbling but I really have no idea why it was rejected so I have no idea what to appeal.
Sorry for babbling, just looking for advise.
Thanks

That is a normal rejection reason, it typically means that reviewers did not believe that your nominations met any of the three eligibility criteria (a great place to explore, exercise and/or socialise).
I second this. "Other rejection criteria" translates to reviewers not thinking that your candidate was a great place to explore, a great place to be social, or a great place to exercise. A bench in a park would not generally qualify, though there are exceptions.
I can agree with the sentiment but, my thinking, I can't mark a natural park. This one has both paved paths and clover paths (and how often do you see the latter).
Both off leash areas, and bike paths. There aren't any big route marker signs. And we can't mark natural objects. Sadly there are 2 bench's and a offleash sign.
To me, the park seemed to check all the boxes.
A great place to explore (public park), exercise (walking and bike paths, offleash area) , and be social (it's a community park, people picnic there) . But what in this weird little park, what can one tag if there aren't formal markers?
I'm still newish here, so I have a lot to learn, but I'm trying to figure out how and what I could nominate
I can attached some pictures for reference if needed.
I'd love some feedback. Maybe it's an SOL thing, but people play pokemon go in this park (and one beside it) a lot as it's straight walking on the daily incense
Thanks again for the help
@Cavalry69-PGO You can submit trail entrances, the dog park, and you can actually submit the park itself even without a sign. It's easier when things have signs but parks without signs can be accepted. Trying to use something that clearly doesn't qualify as a proxy for the park as a whole is just going to leave you frustrated.
Where is the park? We may be able to help you identify options.
@Cavalry69-PGO
I think it would be helpful if you posted your full nomination then people here can try to help.
post both photos - use the paperclip to attach them as otherwise there is a delay whilst the post gets moderated.
all the text - cut and paste it please so it can be easily translated if needed.
the location - coordinates work well.
That way we can see the whole picture, we can also have a look around to see if there is any other potential.
Had the same problem! My rejections have been on public hiking trails in my city, I feel it’s because people reviewing them have no clue they’re even trails even though I clearly put pictures of trail heads and things.
In short 51.103691,-114.129206
I tried to attach a photo with the boundaries drawn out, but I don't see it working.
In this park there are 2 sets of bench's, and 2 art installations. The spacing between the 4 is quite large.
I nominated all 4 as no stops/gyms exist at all in this area, and they
@Cavalry69-PGO When you open up your nomination in a web browser copy and paste it into a forum message post comment box. It may not appear straight away as it has images attached. So it will need a reviewer. Hang tight. It will appear.. OK OK should appear :-)
Niantic did do a clarification that say parks/reserves etc are acceptable if no POI object exists to hang the nomination on. But you need to provide evidence. Most local governments will provide these.
Please please be aware that most as in the vast majority of reviewers have not seen this updated informations so they will see it and reject it. Sadly.
And the Niantic AI may see as a natural feature ;-( Which does not help!!!
So your work is cut out :-)
But the mob here across the board will chip in and provide advice. They will just need to understand the context more. So please copy your nomination and paste
:-)
To clarify “the mob” in this context is of the friendly sort ( which I am proud to be a member of 😎😂) and not not the mafia sort🙄
A random question,
Is that something you have to do from a desktop. When I copy the link from mobile I get niantic/new/nominations
@Cavalry69-PGO You could submit the entrances to the trail/off-leash area at each end, from Brenner and Brisebois. Providing a link to this site in your supporting text and saying that the location can be confirmed by clicking "NW off-leash areas" and then "Area 1" under Brentwood. Other than that it doesn't look like there are any structures that you could anchor a submission to.
Oh yeah. Where I am from the word mob means the people you live with, your friends, your community or even your family group.
Yes @Cavalry69-PGO Browser window. I open up contributions. Click on the one I want to view and just copy and paste from the window. Just easier for people looking to help if it is a copy and paste :-)
More detailed
That entire area is the market offleash area

Hi @Cavalry69-PGO Yeah I am talking about the laptop/desktop browser ;-) I find it easier :-)
Copy and paste. Go the nomination itself. And then drag your cursor over all the text, images, map, address, title etc. Right click and hit copy. Now come to the forum here and put cursor in the post field. And right click and hit paste.
Like a word document
Why copy and paste and not screenshots. Way way easier for people who wish to help you to not have to type out from a screenshot etc
what rufoushumming meant was actaully sharing screenshots of your nominations on that website
In the same vein, same park, this was also turned down. Its a picture, on the city side of that small angular corridor. The city (and neighborhood people) are starting to put out things in that little path, not withing their property boundary. Its a community project to make it unique and exciting (our local politicians words, not my own).
Could I get advice on it as well as it is the same park, but an entirely different park?
Here is the original rejected screenshot for the bench for the park
I hope these help, and thanks for all the support....sorry for delay
oh, I can do that
I added by screenshots? Did they suffice?
