Wayspots that do not meet criteria exist and should not be used as examples of what is eligible. Shopping centers do not meet any of the criteria for acceptance.

A generic shopping mall is rarely acceptable. Are you seeing such nominations being annoyed l accepted, or are the nominations focused on other things, such as gathering locations or unique architecture?
There is a discussion thread that covers some possible mall nominations, if you're interested, with a summary of some things that would typically be eligible below:
Consider what makes a great Wayspot. If you genuinely feel that your shopping center meets criteria for having a unique history, architecture, or holds cultural/social significance, it must be conveyed in the nomination.

To add onto what TheFarix said, sometimes there are things within shopping centers that might be eligible (An ornate fountain, clock towers, murals or other art, plaques, a hyper local spot business, etc) but just the shopping center overall wouldn't usually meet criteria.
