I submitted a waypoint and it got accepted, but no photo is on it

in Report a Bug
The portal appeared in Ingress, but it doesn’t have a photo. I can’t submit a photo because I’m not level 8 (I’m level 40 in pokémon go)

You have a link to the POI?
It's possible the portal is a seed portal and reviewers should have duplicated instead of accepting because the e-mail will not tell us if it was too close. I've seen on a couple of occasions post offices in rural areas come through on wayfarer.
How do I get the link?
If you have the GPS (even approx) coordinates somebody with Intel access (anyone with an Ingress account) can check it. If you don't play Ingress you could create an account and use the http://intel.ingress.com/ website to find the "intel link."
For example, https://intel.ingress.com/?pll=37.795527,-122.395037
If you're using Ingress you can log in to intel.ingress.com website and having selected the portal, using the "Link" to generate a shareable link.
Any link will do, use a map app to go to the rough location and get the GPS coordinates/map share link. Even just a written out location would be good.
That and the name of the POI, so we can try and find the one you have an issue with
https://intel.ingress.com/intel?ll=41.994211,-70.729504&z=17&pll=41.994468,-70.731521
https://intel.ingress.com/intel?ll=41.994211,-70.729504&z=17&pll=41.994468,-70.731521 here’s the link to the waypoint
Hmmm, have a copy of the acceptance email ?
@Theisman-ING The other two times i tried to post the email it didn’t work, hopefully it works this time
Any chance you can copy and paste the googleusercontent link ?
It looks like a member of the opposing faction is pretty active in that area: he may be able to add that photo for you if his level permits!

Ok thats just strange, if it had been encoded incorrectly and hit with no permissions error I could understand it, but that works fine.
Best suggestion I have is go to the photo appeals section on these forums, fill out the POI details, upload a copy of the image to the post, include the above link to it as well, and that way Nia can manual add/correct the image of the POI
Yea, this is a weird one. Portal/Stop/Wayspot accepted and clearly goes live in Ingress, but the photo doesn't load thus preventing it from being synced in PoGO.
An alternative to Theisman's suggestion, if it doesn't work, would be to use the form https://niantic.helpshift.com/a/report-an-issue-with-a-pokestop-gym/?p=web&contact=1, although it's not the ideal method, I've used it to request removal of bad pictures from Pokémon GO before.
A last option that might work, depending on the general turnaround time of nominations in your region, would be re-submitting a new photo and it and letting it get flagged as a duplicate so the new photo becomes attached to it.
This is very out of the ordinary. I'd also suggest making a post about it in https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/categories/report-a-bug and hope that @NianticCasey-ING and/or @NianticKN-ING take a look at it and see how unusual this is to make sure this isn't a wide spread bug that could be affecting more than just you.
Thanks for sharing this, @ColinIsAwesome-PGO. Congrats on the acceptance and sorry it went weird on you.

@NianticCasey-ING this one may need to be kicked back to the support/wayfarer team. This is a NEW submission, and the picture is missing altogether, confirmed via the intel website. Perhaps the photo was of a "strange" format or size? Obviously the reviewers themselves were able to see it.
Actually, @NianticAaron-PGO, would you mind looking over this post and seeing if this is part of a bigger bug, and maybe helping this user out directly? I know it isn't in the appeals, but this appears to be your wheelhouse.
Thanks!
@NianticCasey-ING sorry for the double tag, but while you're on can you take a look at this in particular since it appear so different than other scenarios to us?
Hope your weekend was good and glad you're back at it!
Hey folks,
Thanks for tagging me, I noticed this thread yesterday and I've escalated this to the Wayfarer team for review.
This is such an odd situation, because from what I can see, everything is all set on the Wayfarer side but for some reason the photo is failing to be pushed to the Wayspot.
@ColinIsAwesome-PGO did you notice this Wayspot appearing in other apps without a photo or is it just Ingress?
It didn’t appear in Pokémon GO at all
@NianticCasey-ING I was wondering if you guys were still investigating this issue.
Hi @ColinIsAwesome-PGO, sorry for the delay. I reviewed your nomination 'William C. Gould Jr. Memorial', and could see that the photo is live. At times, there can be a delay in syncing, but it's working as intended now. Thank you!
