New items, possibly temporary.

First a slight moan. I have been trying hard to get it right, searching the AMA, this community and Reddit for guidance on how to review, yet I get 'Bad' status, and no idea if being too harsh, or lenient, or marking rejected with wrong reasons - surely this feedback is needed to support the newbies?? Any ideas?
in this case I'm looking for guidance on age of items. There are a few items popping up re NHS carers ect. In this case, Sir Tom. It looks like a good spot, but do we have to consider that this could be temporary as only a couple of weeks old? It certainly looks cool, but now I'm second guessing everything in fear of getting excluded. The building itself is a bowls hall, probably meets criteria in its own right

Are there any indications or reasonable grounds that the mural is temporary? Very few would commit to painting a mural like that with the intention of it only being up for a few months.

Everything in life is temporary.
Any building can be demolished to build a new one.
Any statue can be removed
But Niantic doesn't ask that kind of question. Temporary are the Christmas lights, something that it's know that it won't last long and given the quality of that mural I would expect it to last several years.
It's a 5 stars nomination.

Fair point. Thanks.

Agreed with both above. If that were as stencil, simple graffiti tag, or looked like it was made of chalk that could wash away, I'd be more likely to reject.
The artwork looks permanent(ish) and the building looks permanent(ish). Should one or the other be removed tomorrow, the community can take action to have the Wayspot removed.
I've seen a few of these "Thank you NHS" artworks and I've generally been rating them as temporary, but the majority of them are the work of amateurs. This one however, given the fame of Sir Tom Moore and the effort put in, I'd definitely give 5* to.
This one looks like a good mural, it wont be temporary. My only wonder is, is it on the side of a house?
They said it's in a "bowls hall". I'm not sure exactly what that means, bowling? But I don't think it's a house.
A very quick google says that a "bowls hall" is for indoor lawn bowling.
I've been doing the same as Skywalkered-PGO for most of the Thank You NHS artwork that's been coming up, for the same "temporary" reasons, but I made an exception for a superb mural on the wall of a social club in South Wales that combined the 75th anniversary of VE Day and the COVID-19 threat into one artwork.
I would definitely 5* the Captain Tom one for the same reason.
Today's current event is tomorrow's history. That George Floyd or essential workers art, which is relevant today, if it is not temporary will be a monument to our current history in the making. It's like how 9/11 memorials started popping up even before the end of 2001, and many of those are still in place.
Does it look temporary, though... that's the key. Amateurish stencil or chalk, yeah, I'd mark temporary. Some of those murals look like they are intended to last at least a year.
