Why have certain things been allowed as a valid submission

Hi I want to know why I've seen an increase of walking bridges and things that actually look as though someone or a few people have put something together and placed it somewhere just to get a submission through. I've seen what looks nothing more than a small peace from the base of a tree cut in haf and someone painted some words to make it look like a trail on a filed. I've seen what just looks like some small little garden plot with veg and one with flowers and it was titled community garden and one being a community veg area to help the area yet it didn't sit with me that it is what they said and both got approved as all it wanted me to do was pick the best spot for the submission on one and the other the best title.

Short answer- they are either from an older time when rules were more lenient. Or, the reviewers in the area are too lenient.
Maybe so but I've noticed these from the last 2 months and it seems they are in areas with high levels of stops and gyms and probably running out of things to submit maybe, but it is very frustrating that I read from others they are getting rejection after rejection on valid things.
Walking bridges were mentioned in an AMA, the rest of the post is hard for me to understand.
For instance I had a review come up and it was just a picture of a wooden bridge over a very tiny creek it was nothing that stood out it had no sign and it looked no different to a wooden bridge we have of which a local player tried to submit as a submission which got rejected because they said it was not a valid submission and didn't meet the criteria. So everytime I see similar subs to ones I know have been rejected come up I think hold on if people are rejecting them then should the players reviewing around me who I know be doing the same. I have had before I stopped reviewing a couple subs that weren't asking for me to review which must be ones that have been accepted but they want me to pick a title or the best location for sub and these are rather poor subs one was what looked like someone had made a trail marker them selves and nailed it to a tree and one that looked like someone had made a little garden in a open area near some trees and it didn't look very good.
No offense, but it is extremely hard to figure out what your point is.
Nevertheless, wooden foot bridges that are part of a walking trail or footpath are eligible according to Niantic.
Well, because some CATEGORY is eligible, it does not mean that every instance of that category will meet criteria.
Let's take footbridges, for example. If it's a standard footbridge, not location-disqualified, etc...9/10 times I will vote: 4*: Accept.
If it's just some planks of wood put across a creek...while it's technically a bridge, that would not meet acceptance criteria. There's some nuance.
With regards to changing your review habits based on what you have seen accepted/rejected within your area: don't. Vote according to current Niantic criteria.
