Location Update not reflecting in PoGO

@NianticCasey-ING, did you notice this follows the same pattern I mentioned earlier? A portal is moved (correctly) but the PokéStop fails to move as well.
I have local examples of this, as others in my community. This started happening the same time the location edits caused Gyms to disappear.
This isn't an appeal, it's more of a (PoGO specific) bug report that is likely tied to the Gym being converted to a Stop feature.
I have dozens of location edits approved between June 19 and August 11 in the same situation. In fact, I manege to move a POI (correctly) and someone else in my community nominated another in it's place. They appear in top of each other in GO.
This happened to me for Wenger Shelter in Washington, IL. Location edit was approved last month, moved on the ingress intel map, but it never moved in pogo. Followed the instruction by Casey to report invalid in app, and just received the email response for it that it was rejected.
It's happened to us as well. A location edit was done on a wayspot that was in the wrong spot, edit got through and Intel map showed it in the [new] right spot, but the wayspot isn't live in PoGo. Old spot = same level 17 cell as another waypsot, new spot is in its own level 17 cell. So looks like the supposed location edit never made it into its rightful spot in PoGo.
I have two Wayspots that were edited on Ingress and their new locations didn't sync to Pokémon GO. Both edits were accepted last month, when location edits were unavailable:
Praça Do Hauer:
Ingress Portal: -25.482537,-49.2553
Pokéstop: -25.482388,-49.256134
Parquinho da Praça Agostinho Legros:
Ingress Portal: -25.51743,-49.236186
Pokéstop: -25.517508, -49.235972
Happened in our area too, we are still waiting for sync now for a month.
Happened to me as well. The change happened in Ingress but not in PoGo. The portal can be found here:
35.145404, 33.410777
Any update on these, @NianticCasey-ING? Is it expected they'll eventually move? I'm at over a month, now, with one of mine not syncing in PoGO.
@NianticCasey-ING ?
I haven't found any evidence of location edits approved between June 19 and august 11 syncing to Pokémon GO.
These two location edits haven't synced yet. @NianticCasey-ING, is there an update to when these missing edits will sync?
Hey folks,
I've confirmed with the Wayfarer team and the Pokémon GO team that there is a bug that is preventing some edits that have been successfully updated in Ingress from being reflected in Pokémon GO.
The team is currently working on a fix for this issue, I'll circle back with more information as it becomes available. Thanks for your patience!
Thanks!
Should this not be moved to "Known Issues" then?
@NianticCasey-ING it's been almost a month since the acknowledgement of this bug, still no word on when these edits are going to sync?
If it's not as simple as resynsing edits approved between June 19 and August 11, I have a feeling they are lost to the aether.
I have another location edit that was accepted on Ingress but for some reason didn't sync to Pokémon GO. The e-mail has been received at October 6th and it failed to sync on both October 6th and 7th. @NianticCasey-ING, maybe this info can help on figuring out the bug and syncing these Wayspot edits.
Barras de Exercícios Praça Menonitas
Ingress Portal: -25.50451,-49.248006
Pokéstop: -25.504515, -49.248103
Some time ago i moved a portal via the form and the pokestop wasn't moved along with it. Today the pokestop is completly gone, the portal still exists. This is not ok @NianticCasey-ING. We know that gyms can be degraded when moved in already occupied cells but i never heard/read that stops disappear.
Please reinstate the pokestop: https://intel.ingress.com/intel?ll=47.780611,9.616184&z=17&pll=47.780611,9.616184
Yesterday, "Praça Do Hauer" (which was a pokéstop that has never moved even though a location edit was approved) has simply vanished. The other two pokéstops I reported here still exist but their new locations didn't sync yet. I'm not sure what's going on.
Excellent @NianticCasey-ING , I finally decided to move the stops again (after four months of your company's trademark incompetence) and they got yeeted off the game. Amazing QOL; definitely promotes map integrity and location acurracy 👍
Disgusting, now I can only hope that you ARE so incompetent that you can't keep track of these unsynced location edits, or else we'll lose them too when they move to their ACCURATE LOCATION.
Now this one seems to be gone as well. @NianticCasey-ING, if moving a portal to its accurate location can end up removing it from one game, we might as well know this in advance so we don't even touch it.
All three Wayspots that I reported here are no longer appearing in Pokémon GO. @NianticCasey-ING, could you please check them manually, or even clarify why these Wayspots never synced their new locations and now they simply vanished from Pokémon GO?
The Stop in question has seemingly vanished from Pokémon GO. Can you confirm if this is now the intended affect, similar to gyms?
Thanks.
I see your response here https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/discussion/comment/40996/#Comment_40996 and assume this is now "working as intended" or "won't fix." The specific situation I observed matched this, so I consider my case closed. I am not sure if there are other areas where location modifications to Stops have not moved.
