Any Ideas As To Why This Public Playground Wasn't Accepted?

N.B. a description isn't a requirement for a nomination to be approved. In a lot of cases it does help, of course. What can I really say besides "play area" in this case?

The sign looks more like a rules sign than a welcome/name sign for the park, which might have caused the rejection. I see it looks like some playground equipment in your supporting photo. Try submitting the playground again but with a closer picture of the playground equipment rather than the sign.

I suggest you name it Playground The Hollow. I agree that the sign gives the wrong impression at first but the text should have made it clear.

That looks fine to me.
Even if people get picky it should still go through as valid.

I think the issue may have been with the sign not saying what's there and not being visible on Street View.
For easy acceptance, just submit the Playground and the football field separately. They're clearly visible on Satellite View and clearly not on school grounds.

P.S. I was told simply "nomination does not meet criteria". Not sure why though. I've had every other playground and recreation ground I've nominated accepted, and I've nominated a lot.

That's what I was planning on doing. I'll be sure to make it clearer when I'm next there. Hopefully reviewers will pay more attention next time too!
In my opinion, the picture is absolutely an issue. Play grounds are eligible and photo with map clearly show the location. I would still hesitate to accept. The reason might be a little complicated. Playgrounds are only allowed one POI. This sign is not apparently connected to the play area. It could also apply to the surrounding park. After this stop is accepted, will we see another application featuring the swing ? Pretty difficult then to mark it as duplicate then. A clear connection would be essential for me if I would review the application.
Is the proposed location within 40 meters of private property?
Well that's not true Casey has clearly said that playgrounds can have more than one POI if it's not part of the same structure..
That would be taking something @NianticCasey-ING said out of context, and incorrectly.
You may only have one wayspot per playground, regardless of how many "structures" are contained therein.
You may nominate separate playgrounds separately, but they have to be that -- separate. There needs to be some way to demarcate the physical difference between each's location.
