Parks without signs

I saw someone ask a question on reddit about parks without signs, the answer he got was just to ask for a sign. But my understanding was, the sign is only a proxy for the park as it needs something permanent and "solid" to represent it. Surely if the park had a seating area, that should count as the proxy so long as the description and title made it that it was the park being submitted, not the seating area, and Google maps showed that there was a park there?

To submit a park as a whole, it must have a sign. If there is no sign, then look at submitting individual elements instead.
Seating areas generally don't qualify, unless perhaps one is visually distinct or is a memorial to a significant individual. Other items that might qualify are fountains, sculptures, and play areas.
But there's No actual ruling that says it needs a sign, just that it requires a proxy, the only reason signs are used is because its permanent. If something was unique or distinct enough, then it would be submitted for itself, not for the park. So my point is, if there's proof on google maps that its a park, then a seating area, to act as a proxy, for the park, should be acceptable, so long as its the park that's being submitted and not the seating area
We've been explicitly instructed to REFUSE "common objects" just as benches, picnic tables, bbq stands, drinking fountains, dog poop bag stations, etc. So NONE of those things (and obviously many other similar "common objects" I haven't listed) can be used as a stand-in.
A sign naming the park is unique to the park, and makes for a good proxy.
The Jan 2020 guidelines state the need for a sign pretty clearly:
Parks and items within Parks (signs, gazebos, chess boards, fountains, sculptures, etc.)
Acceptable:
Not acceptable:
But The point is, its nkt submitting a bench, its submitting a park, thei the sitting area as a proxy, there's a difference between submitting a bench and submitting a lark with a sitting area as proxy, its dumb to say "that park has no sign, so it shouldn't be acceptable"
Well That's dumb then, because a lot of parks don't have signs, so a proxy should do
