Businesses/sports clubs that have shut down

whats the ruling on these, I visited a portal that was a golf course, but the course had shut down ages ago the building thats the poi is still there but its no longer in use, wpuld I remove it?
Answers
Sim. Acho que deve ser removido. Itens que não existem mais não devem constar
Was the golf course destroyed and something else built on it?
If it hasn't then it still exists in the real world and should still be acceptable.
The building is there, but its shut down and the golf course left to nature
It would be considered still valid then.
I have submitted edits for a bar that burned down. All rejected by reviewers for edits changing the title and description. Reviewers aren't making a lot of sense anymore. Valid things rejected for bogus reasons. I'm to the point why bother submitting any more. Sent in a scan for the pokegym and never heard back from niantic yet it still stands valid as can be currently. Nomination reports were denied multiple times currently. So it is what it is. Until Niantic does something about bad rejections and spends time reviewing things reported, it doesn't look like the system will never change and only continue getting worse.
If the building is there and it's the building that is the poi then you should leave it alone that is what has been accepted. There may be historical value to the building which still means it should remain there.
'Still there, and left to nature'... sounds like a great wayspot :) I would add photos to it.. one every (half) year.
But yea, I'd leave it.
It's a challenge to get such "no longer there" things actually removed. It helps when, in your Rejection Appeal posted to https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/categories/removal-appeals to include "geotagged" photos of the location.
Before these Wayfarer forums, I'd had to use the support ticket process instead, and included things like newspaper articles telling how the church had burned down and housing was being put in its place.
It was included in the initial reports. With the name and description changes saying it burnt down.
There's no official guidance on this that I have seen, however several times @NianticKN-ING has suggested in appeals that if a business has changed ownership/names it would require to be removed & renominated rather than edited - even for churches that are assumed eligible.
This is something @NianticCasey-ING could have elaborated on in the https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/discussion/7943/september-ama-responses-and-roadmap-update post but unfortunately missed it.
What was nominated? If the golf course business itself was nominated, I would lean towards removing as the business entity itself has been permanently removed. Unique architecture? Then it would remain. The building may be closed, but is the grassy course still used? Just a few things I'd consider.
Can't remember off the top of my head but I think it was called "area name" golf club, to that that would suggest the course and the main building. From what I can tell, the course isn't used for golf anymore, as the grass isn't cut or anything g so would be impossible to putt, but js used for dog walking .....
